This video will show you how remove and replace the center console cover with an aftermarket cover. Ran into problems with the latch but I will show you how to solve and fix that.

Hillman Rubber Grommets
2 count 3/16 inch
Lowe's Item # 423561
Located in the specialty drawers in hardware section.
Tools needed for task:
TORX #15 screwdriver
#2 Phillips head screwdriver
Drill
1/16 in. and 1/8 in. drill bit. depending on the screw diameter you use.
Repair time:
20 minutes or less.

Thank you for the extra time it takes to film while working. Would you mind measuring the distance between the brackets/hinges that attach the armrest/ back support of the jump seat that attaches to the bottom. I have a 97 k1500 60/40 seat with the flip up jump seat. I'd like to go to a junkyard and find the portion that attaches to the seat and replace it with your body style. I would just like to know the measurement. Thank you

@@texasyardmanandmore3822 outstanding, that helps a lot. One more thing if you don't mind. How about the width between the two hinges? How wide is the armrest/ back support? Greatly, appreciate it brother.

@@j-boy9256 cover is 15 3/4 in. Long x 13 5/8 in. Wide. Hinge is approximately 1 inch on each side of the hinge.

@@texasyardmanandmore3822 I thank you for doing that. I think it will fit in the 97 obs which will be a huge improvement. Just being able to have real cupholders instead of the pull out ones GM gave me. Every sip of a cold soda will be thanks to your extra time.

I am uncertain as I would have to take it apart again to confirm. I don't want to risk breaking anything to check. But if you watch the video the screw appears to be 1/2" in length and maybe 1/8 inch in diameter.
