I had the same issue but found the problem. You are connecting the harness for the Can Bus (Fiber box) in wrong place and as well the adapter cable that you plugged into the red plug behind the heater control. That should not be plugged there. you need to remove the glove box and on the left side you will find the MMI box. You unplug the red plug from there and put the cable in between there and the fiber box as well. Then all will turn on and work :)

The problem is quite easy to solve. I think its because your MMI doesn't have Aux enabled. You have to activate this via the engineering menu (Green Menu). To open the Green Menu, hold down the Setup & Car buttons (press Setup first) until the menu opens. If this does not work, the Green Menu must first be activated via OBD (OBDEleven or VCDS). If the Green Menu is open, you must click on Diagnostics, then on settings and change the AMI/Aux setting there. From "No Aux" to "Aux". I mean it is selection point 1, so Aux, Ami & BT are switched on. Then exit the menu again. Now click on Media as normal and select Aux. Now you should have sound. I have already installed several Android radios in VAG cars and when there was no sound it was always this error.
Hello, I have a 2013 Q7. After installation the screen doesnt show anythink. The backlight is on but you cant see somethink on the display. But radio works, i can hear music. Do you have an Idea
I have fitted the same screen all mine works fine apart from the climate control, for some reason I can't get it work at all, has anyone else has this issue? If so how did you fix it?
