I've been in dire need of suspension upgrades for a while and decided to drop the dough on Fox 2.5 DSC and Cognito UCA's
There are almost no videos on installs here so I decided to document for you all the process. Ran into some snags of course but once aligned they have been great!
Will run them in the mud and snow in a week or so and will report then how well they did.

Did you buy the control arm for the avalanche or Silverado cuz I have that problem not too many parts for avalanche

great build! I'd love to see more about your bed rack. I heard you say you custom fab'd it.

Thanks Yes I did fab it since there is no support for avalanches in this arena. Made it out of aluminum instead of steel to save weight. added all the features that I needed but its still a work in progress. If you're on instagram you can see more about it there as well. same username there.

Opinion/fact check...so which to buy, gen1 or gen2 Avalanche? (Also, what years are the best) Please and thank you.

always depends on your budget. I prefer the latest model because of its amenities and modernism. You might find some with a 6.0 but the 5.3 has plenty of power and can be built for even more. I would look at anything from 2010-2013 but that doesn't mean any of the previous years are problematic. its all up to the style that you like.

Great video. I have a 2007 Chevy Avalanche that I would like to do sometime similar. Have you had any issues with your oil pressure pump or sensor?

no I haven't. just changed rebuilt tranny, water pump, oil pan gasket and rear main seal. so far so good.

Where did you get the rack and front bumper?

I made the rack myself and the bumper is the Silverado N-Fab bumper with custom brackets to fit

Thank you brother. They're 1.5" Supreme Suspension Spacers. Excellent quality and well worth the money which actually isn't that much.

Are you doing lock diff in the future? I am getting an avalanche and planning to make it into a prerunner/overlander! Just like yours!

hey. mine has factory locker in the rear and auto locker in the front. The manual conversion is a little too pricey for me so I'll just keep it as it is. Hasn't been an issue in the 12 years i've owned it.

It has a factory locking diff in the rear since its a Z71. its been fine so I imagine when and if it does go down I may upgrade.

this were 20" 33" on 12.50 but have since changed to 17" on 285

@@protohyp I just wanted to say thanks for the quick response. I went with 20inch mudster wheels 275/55/20 AMP mud terrain tires. I did have a little rub on the front with my mud flaps on. Once I removed them the clearance overall is much better.
