One possible cause is the underneath the engine bay fuse box, the box with wire connectors may be burned causing interruption when hot especially on hot days, recommended fix is to get a professional car electrician to wire a new fuse box for the one that's burnt
I have the same issue with my 07 malibu. I bought a PCM off an aftermarket site, they programmed the VIN#. Went through the process to relearn the key. The car cranked, but the transmission wasn't shifting correctly. Turned it off and got an ignition code error...which I thought was due to the ne PCM. Now the car won't crank again. Same Error message. HELP!
hello i have a 2006 chevy malibu, i went into the store today and when i came out my car start up but 3 seconds later it cut off and said i didnt have no gas when i had a full tank and the low fuel light came on as well but after a few times trying to start it, it came on and ran fine like it never happen can you please help me out

Thanks for the video bro I'm going to run through those couple tests u spoke of before taking the car to the junkyard. My question to you is how come none of the fuses or safety items before the computer were damaged or tripped? Why was the computer not protected? I'm having same issue with mine hopefully the computer will fix if everything else with power and ground tests out
2009 G6 no com with pcm, communicates with all other modules. Runs and starts. The engine light comes on with key on but goes out when running. I got it to communicate for a short time got a code for high voltage on oil pressure switch.
@@diyauto6258 It will read occasionally when the car is cold with the key off. The code was for the oil pressure sensor. high voltage. I was going to unplug the sensor as a test but the starter is in the way. I ordered a new sensor that arrived today and going to install it tommorrow.

regina humphrey the ECM Is connected to the negative battery cable. The ECM gets power and ground by other means. I’m not sure I understand your question.
DIY AUTO Thank you.The Chevrolet Dealership shutdown my vehicle.And the only problem I had was the battery light was stayed on.I had a new battery,new starter and a new alternator.They replaced my groundwire which didn’t need replacing.And they removed a GPS Tracking Device.In which I didn’t know it was on there.The car dealership where I got my car didn’t remove it after the car was paid in full.And they did unnecessary work on my vehicle and now my car won’t start.And I know that there wasn’t nothing wrong with the vehicle but the battery light was on.
Hi. I have a 2007 Malibu and it has the same issue. The car won't start; has check engine light; "error" on the odometer and no comumunication! Is a bad ECM? Getting new Ecm have to be programmed before install? Thank you
Tony Lige that’s cylinder 2 misfire. Do you basic testing, ensure the spark plug is not cracked or damaged. Checked the ignition coil for damage or arking
2.4 evotec, the starter has grounds on it, disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes before working on it to be sure no charge is lingering in the ground
My Chevy Malibu will not start as well. I put in a ECM and it still won't start I change the starter it still would not start. I replace two fuses 3640 it still will not start. Can you give me some advice please

I have the same problem I think, my car doesn't turn on, but when I put the key in and turn it half way the radio and windows work but the gages don't move for the fueland heat, but when I turn it all the way everything goes out, also on the odometer it says error and on the radio screen it says power steering, is that the same problem for u?
