I remember this race so well… Valentino at his absolute best! The grid, MotoGP, the fans.. will miss this guy so much.

I remember this race and also the podium. Stoner and Rossi in a great rivalry

I started watching MotoGP in 2005 I think when I was 15. Became a Rossi fan really fast and I will always remember this as one of his best races. As a Dutchman Assen is extra special aswell to me. This was first year of the 800cc bikes I believe. Casual scooters/marshalls standing next to the track. 😆

Rossi was the best when he had to fight! I remember few races with him running away, at least with Yamaha. His races were never boring, always spectacular. That’s why I love him. And I miss those races

Masterclass by Vale. One of my favourite races of all time.

I'll never forget this one, as it was my first ever Moto GP race i went to back in 2007 what a weekend. I still have the T-shirt that i bought lol Riding from Hampshire in the UK to Assen on a 2001 Yam R6 then back home all in 3 days....would i do it again???

By his own very high standards 2007 was season riddles with errors for The Doctor but in reality Casey Stoner was that damn good that year there was very little he could have done tbh. It was a year of serious underachievement not just for himself as he got pipped to runners up spot by a resurgent Pedrosa, but also for Yamaha who dropped the ball with their first M1 of the 800cc Motogp era and especially Michelin who dropped the ball just as badly when it came to tires compared to Bridgestone in what was MotoGp's penultimate tire war season but this one of 4 wins across the season did prove that Vale had lost none of his magic during that season

For someone like me who is new to MotoGP it is really quite awesome to get to watch these races

2007 was the year i got my driver's license and went to this race by bike with my dad and two of his friends. My dad even brought my sister on the back. It was an amazing event, a loaded circuit and a day I will never forget. Forza Rossi!

What I love about watching these classic races is that we know that Stoner was champion that year, and now one can see the great riding by all the other riders too and appreciate it a lot more. Hopper hitting mid 50 degrees leaning angles during the race. I know he had his problems, but he had massive talent. Given the right bike - who knows what could've been?

ROSSI! Is bad as hell. The Ducati bike was clearly faster had more power 🔋 and speed but rossi went pass the Ducati like it was standing still. Then on top of that put giant space between the Ducati after he passed. This goes to show it doesn't mean a thing about a bike being faster! Valentino Rossi would do the same thing too Ducati today in 2023 because he knows how to ride! Ducati can be fast as it wants to be. When you have a man that knows how to ride speed doesn't mean anything. That's the problem with bike racers today, they don't know how to ride so they blame the bike it's not this it's not that. The bike 🏍 doesn't have to be anything if you can ride plain and simple! Pecco wouldn't be anything if "Valentino Rossi " was still around or any other of those Ducati riders today. VALENTINO ROSSI A MAN WHO 👨 KNOWS HOW TO RIDE!!!

What's that Casey "ambition exceeding ability", not this time eh! Great race, brilliant commentary and no marc marquez (worst thing to happen to motorcycle racing since I started watching in 1969). Todays MotoGP is still exciting but the commentators are awful. Between Simon Crafar being unable to get through a sentence without being 'curious' about something (some great insights but really, get a vocabulary) and the other two fighting to get their tongues up mm's arse, it's sometimes a PITA to get through. This, by comparison, was awesome.
