i still remember watching this game. i tuned in for some randon reason and watched the game out of pure bordom. it turned out to be the best game i have ever seen in my life.
What a great year for games. That Okie State-Texas game is in my top 5 of college basketball games for the decade, AFC Championship is one of the better playoff games that decade, and the Boise-OU game the most entertaining football game (start to finish) I have ever witnessed.
Here's how the voting had to go for this one: 5. Dywane Wade- Lucky to be on this list. 4. Darrelle Revis- Awesome return. The big block made the play. 3. Travis Pastrana- Number 1 most years. One of the most impressive accomplishments in X Games history. 2. Endy Chavez- Arguably the greatest catch in postseason history. That was no cheapie, he snowconed it. Game 7, scoreless. Forget about it. 1. Boise State- This play took on a life of it's own. PERIOD. Everyone's gonna remember it forever
He forgot to thank Tom Cruise for his relentless fight against the evil Lord Xenu. And a damn motorcycle flip isn't a play, hell that isn't even a sport.
You see that a lot!? It was scoreless in a game that decided who would go to the World Series! You could argue that it was better than Willie Mays! I doubt there will EVER be a better year for this category, but the play you see a lot is Wade's. He actually hits that shot a couple of times a year if you watch his highlights. BSU, Chavez, and Pastrana are without a doubt the top 3 because moments like that just won't happen again.
First of all Patriots vs Colts we can see that any other year in the playoffs since they are almost in every playoff, soo it was just a competition between the texas vs oklahoma st and the awsome game between gayass oklahoma vs boise state
woa guys lets be fair. i completely agree with austin down there about the Boise State thing. and i do agree that the block made the play. but come on, he dodged like 8 guys after the block. revis's return was one for the ages among returns, with Deasean Jackson's against Cal last year, holy shit that was gross. and Chavez's catch, def. one of the best postseason plays of all time, unfortunately they lost lol but it was nasty. Pastrana's was the best X game play aside from 900 from Tony.
Kind of Ironic for this year, as Boise St. needed OU to beat OSU to have a better shot at making another BCS game. But oh well, Good Luck against TCU!!
mine was #3 colts vs patroits- good but the patriots didint win #2oklahoma st. vs texas- great in overtime #1 boise state vs oklahoma-the best cinderella story/david vs galith game ever #5 endy chavez-you see that alot #4 darrelle reevis- not the best #3 Travis pastrana- great timing #2 Dwane Wade- all skill Boise State- gutsy move but worth it freakin awesome
Baseball play last, really? I don't know, I always thought that play was the best one. I agree the hook and ladder should have won. The punt return was a great play but it was in a game that wasn't that important. If you watched Game 7 of the NLCS I think you'd agree with me about the baseball play because everyone knew if Chavez doesn't make that catch there's no way the Mets win (although they lost anyways)
Hillbilly luck? Which part, the part where Boise was in the lead for most of the game or the part where they pulled off, not one, but 3 amazing trick plays?
Pure hillbilly luck for who? You mean for Oklahoma to even get back into it? I hate it when people say games are won based on "luck"... anyone who has ever actually played sports knows that's a load of bullshit and it's not one or two plays that decides a game, it's the whole game put together.
Kolby Jones Well App State beat a high ranked Michigan team at the start of the season, a team that turned out to be pretty overrated. Boise state beat a proven team at the end of their season that was probably some bad officiating away from the national championship. Still App State's upset was great and it was a great game
