I recently replaced my headlamps with LED bulbs. Everything works fine until I turn my fog lamps on. When I turn my fog lamps on, the LES bulbs immediately go to high beam brightness. This happens without adjustment to the bright light lever. When the fog lights are turned off, the headlamp LED bulbs return to low beam brightness. I replaced my blinker relay to correct hyper flash in my turn signals. Any ideas to correct my fog lamp/ highbeam issues?
George Burnett Jr I ordered a decider off of Amazon for $25 and it fixed the problem. I emailed the company I bought the bulbs from explaining the problem and they sent me one also. So now I have 2. My impatience cost me $25 but my problem was resolved
Been watching your videos and have tried everything. Nothing working yet. 2005 ford f150 low and high don't work but all other lights do. Thanks for your help.
What about the night time running lights ? I have a problem with mines that my blinkers work only daytime and when it’s night time my blinkers don’t work at all
Quick question ?? So my low beams will come on normally but when I pull out the switch for my fog lights to come in it’s my high beams what should I do?
Thank you for the best most informative video, simple to understand with all the info I need to check my head lights for a fuse or relay problem. the best video I have watched for problems like this.
i recently had an 2 way remote start on my 2005 ford f150 now i dont have any fog lights nore do i have any daytime running lights when i unlock my truck i might have to check my fuses to see if they got blown
Can I use a fuse tap on the 20 to power an LED hood light? I'd like it to come on when I turn the low beans on. Stupid question also, the low beam and the LED hood light would stay on when I turn the high beans on right?
Do you think there is a fuse for the AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS OPTION.? I have a 2003 Ford F-150 lariat, my headlights working just fine but I have to manually turn them ON and before it was just on the AUTOMATIC position, and now there not working no more.
Great stuff bro.i have a 2017 f 350 and the high and low beams work but the switch won't let the high beams stay on.what do u think? Switch or relay maybe?
Say great video. Question, my parking lights work fine. But when I turn on my headlamps the drivers side dims. And blinker on passenger side blinks like it's blown but it's not. Replace light bulbs and still nothing. Can you please help? 🙏
Head lights work but no panel lights, license plate lights, fog lights., tail lights WON’T TURN ON unless I activate the turn signal., tester won’t go on on FUSE FOR FOG lights but I replaced it already with a new one and tester still won’t lit up. I was working with the tail light, I spliced the brake light and tail light, I noticed one of the extension cables touched metal and I saw a tiny spark, is it possible that caused the problem?.
Here's one for you. 2007 F150 with Auto lights/no fog lights. In Auto mode ALL exterior lights work (when dark out) but no dash or instrument cluster lights come on. With the switch in park or headlight, the headlights and interior (dash and instrument cluster) light up but no park/running lights (rear- the front work) . I have already replaced the light switch with a matching OEM Motorcraft replacement switch to no avail. Is there a relay to check or would this be in the logic circuit of the SJB?
Are the fuses positions identification number and the relay location still the same in newer models? I have a 2018 raptor the right hand side low beam stopped working suddenly after it was acting up for some time
So I have issues with my taillights! I have headlights But not tail lights! I have though run a cross wire with a fuse behind the switch But it blows now and then.
My fuses are good, relays are good, running lights, hi and low beams all fine on driver side working fine but my passenger side high/low beam is dead, i swapped a known good bulb from the driver side to the passenger light, still dead on passenger side, swapped back to the driver side bulbs fine. I checked the passenger side fuse which was blown so i replaced it with a new fuse and pop blown instantly when i hit the lights. Im thinkin theres a short somewhere in my wiring that brings power to the passenger high/low bulb, the truck sat for a while and my dad had been driving it so im not sure when it happened but after pullin the entire headlight out then putting it back buttoning it up i noticed the dead low beam. Any thoughts? As i said i checked the fuse it was blown so i swapped in a good fuse and it just pops it. Passenger side running lights turn signals all good just the low and high are dead
I have an odd problem. After severe weather my 2007 f150 started doing the following: When I hit "lock" with my remote and the interior overhead lights are supposed to fade out...... they just stay on along with my third light. My thinking is a relay is not operating somewhere but I cant seem to find which one if it is a relay. I also had an instance of the open door light coming on as I was driving but all the doors were closed securely. That same thing could cause the overhead lighting to come on and stay on. Its very confusing. Malfunctioning door switch or malfunctioning relay somewhere??
@@volconic5166 yes, the problem was not a relay but my drivers side rear door latching mechanism. There is a switch built in to it that tells the ecu that the back door is closed and relays it to your dash display. I shot silicone lube in to it several times before it worked itself into the switch enough to make it work properly. The problem is finding out which door switch is the one thats hanging open. I had to slam the rear doors several times before I could isolate which door it was. I just sprayed all of them and will make it part of my normal maintenance. Hope this helps.
Hi ran into a issue yesterday. Head lights would not turn off after truck was turned off and switch off. I have a 2007 F-150 . I don't ever recall having DRL and I am original owner with nearly 300,000 miles on the truck. Also high beam light on dash stays on any idea
@@LehewTech Hey I was able to turn the lights off, I watched what you did with the turn signal/high beam by pushing it in and the high beams went off therefore allowing lights to turn off. Somehow it was causing the main light switch to stay open. Thanks for posting your video as it gave me ideas and I would not have figured it out without watching. I do not have the DRL option on my truck . Going to monitor for the next week as I spoke to my mechanic as well and it was the first time he heard of such a thing happening. Thanks again be safe during these crazy times.
Both my high beam light and right turn signal light stay on in the dash only when my headlights are on. My horn stopped working and my right headlight is dim even though I replaced it. Then my turn signal blinks fast but only when my headlights are on as well. Do you have any suggestions on what it could be?
