It's funny you point that out B3...for whatever reason, the American car manufacturers fight every little change to the death which is certainly their prerogative. But so many things end up being relatively outdated compared to other countries as a result.

That's an amazing price here in Hawaii, normally that's what it would cost on the mainland...out here you should be able to flip that car in about 2 seconds and make some nice money

Not only can they go that far, they'll still have awesome resale value when you're ready to sell.

I have a 2007 Civic LX in silver with 170,000K miles and it runs like new too. I bought it brand new back in 2007 and it still runs like new, but it's important to do all scheduled maintenance if you want to have your Civic to feel new all the time. I feel that I can easily drive the car for another 10 years. My coworker has 2012 Civic with over 270,000K miles and it's still going strong. She also owned a late 90's Civic, I believe she told me that it was a 1999 Civic and she had it over 400,000k miles even though the car was involved in a major accident many years back. If you do all scheduled maintenance and use top tier fuel like Chevron, a 2007 Honda Civic can go over one million miles. I drove a brand new 2019 Honda Civic sedan with less than two hundred kilometres from the Honda dealership because it was a loaner car. I can tell you that the 2019 Honda Civic felt less powerful even though it has more HP. The acceleration is slower too according to the specs. The 8th generation Civic for 2006 won North American Car of the Year, Motor Trend Car of the Year award and Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) Car of the Year.

Honda got sued over that entire generation of Civics for paint that sun-scorched too easily...and they would repaint them up to 100,000 miles for free. However, not all cars were affected and if the paint is good now it's no different from this point forward than buying any other older car

You should be able to do pretty close to that on an almost new Civic if you're willing to stretch the term a bit.

Because it's so expensive to ship them from the mainland US and southeast Asia. Plus you'd have to buy the car sight unseen unless you wanted to fly out there. Most people just accept that you pay more when you buy it but you get more when you sell it...so it just works out in the end.

i got a 08 civic. Never had a problem. The percentage of cracked blocks are around 3% of all civics sold. Very unlikely you wiil get one if you buy a civic of those years.
