Thanks for this video. I liked yours the best. I opted to disconnect my battery. For those interested. Torque for the valve cover bolts is 7 ft. pounds. Using the torque wrench on the back ones without removing the cowling is a challenge, but doable. I used permatex black. I noticed a Honda tech had previously (200k miles ago) put hondabond down the inside of where the timing chain cover and head meet when I took it in for a mystery oil leak. Generously glob on each side. It made cleaning the surfaces a bit more challenging since I didn't want a big bondberg falling down inside the timing chain cover.
How long could this take someone thats practically a newbie to mechanics?? 😅My valve cover gasket is bad but my mechanic is all booked up for the next five days and I really need to be able to drive my car so I am just wondering how easy this would be for a “novice” . Did your replacement gasket seat all the way down flush on the valve cover or it left a little gap mine won’t go down flush even when i put it down on a flat service and apply pressure around the valve cover to try and seat it flush.
