SgtPrice1000 That first game was a wipe-out, but the rest were at least somewhat competitive. They had a good team that I thought was going to be around for the ling-haul...yep, didn't work out. Hopefully the current nucleus is going to stick around longer than the 2007-10 group did.

I will never forget that moment, Helton catching that ball, while Byrnes does everything he possibly can to reach base safely, and Helton just shouts in absolute joy as those arms go up. Despite living in Colorado most of my life, I'm more a Mariners fan. But I loved watching the Rockies that year. I'll never forget it. It was a shame they got pummeled in the WS, but that particular moment? Magical.

Sad how the MLB cannot post actual game footage (except the final ground outs) from this Rockies 2007 season, a miraculous season in which the Rockies won 21 out of 22 games to reach the World Series. Come on MLB, please post clips of the Rockies actual runs scored, not just the last out.

One of the strangest seasons an MLB team has ever had - coming off 11 bad seasons in a row, the Rockies weren't even very good most of the season - they hovered a game or two above or below .500 all year all the way into mid-September when they all of a sudden went on this ridiculous run out of nowhere; a 21-1 run that ended with this game. And as everyone knows they crashed back to being the mediocre team they had been all season once the World Series started, getting massacred 29-10 in the four games.

It was a great run. I'm curious to know what would of happened if we'd played the Indians and didn't have a 8 game gap. Guess we'll never know. Really hope we can get back to the world season tho.

The Rockies also had a lot of injuries that season that hindered them. Once they got a lot of pieces back they made their run. The biggest reason the Rox were able to do what they did is they had a top notch bull pen.

Oh I remember when that happened. I remember very clearly when the Rockies went to the World Series. It was right after I graduated high school. At the time I went to Greeley Central and was undergoing radio classes at Aims Community College. Good times man, good times

10 years later, we're coming back with a vengeance. We've never had a team this talented before. Our lineup is lethal with Arenado, Reynolds, Blackmon, and last year's batting champ D.J. Lemaheiu. 2 of our rookie pitchers have 9 wins so far (something that's only happened once in MLB history for a team). And our infield is made up of a bunch of gold Glovers. I have a really good feeling about this year!

I was at this game. My son was a kindergartner, and his school was selling $8 tickets early in the year before anyone knew the Rockies would be good. What a game to go to. Crazy!

Colorado’s the National League champion!” Before 2007 and before even September I thought “Same old bad Rockies.” Arizona still has never been quite the same since this loss even with the 2011 and 2017 playoff appearances. Colorado showed me at 12 years old how much anything is possible, especially when you least expect it.

I'm still not sure which one was more improbable...the Rockies winning the pennant in '07 or the Rays in '08. Both teams came out of nowhere and it was great for the game that small market franchises COULD actually win in baseball.

All 3 of those pitchers have gotten shelled so many times this year....the Dodgers, Cubs, Nationals, and Dbacks all have much better rotations. The Rox lineup is one of if not the best in the NL, but calling their pitching staff dangerous is downright laughable LMFAO and you saying that proves that you are a biased homer
