@@Marvin91790 man youtube don't like ppl joking about ostensibly perverted ppl. I'm going to try and dodge the algorithm with this. How many different degenerate factions can there be a letter to, to describe the legit girls Boys team quest
Besides my uncle in total, I know 4 people that had this car. Make sure you have a lot of money good car reliable in the winter. Lotta headaches lotta lotta of headaches good luck man.
The only reason they have a cult following. If they sounded like any other turbo 4 cylinder car, they would never be this popular. Surprised sound is enough to overlook their many weak points in the engine.
@@notthatguy424 don't care but it's a shame the Lancer was axed and this turd stuck around for 16 year Olds who think because it sounds cool that it's good.
@@remissiveslave Who hurt you? A responsible Subaru owner can definitely have a fun and reliable car. Not just the sound, the feel of the car, the AWD , the 4 doors , the fact it’s turbocharged , the look of it maybe ? The love for rally? It’s Manual? Many reasons why I have my 07 STi, Most fun street car for me !
I’ve seen low mileage stock examples go for $40k+ now. That’s more than the car cost when it was new. Bought my 04 blobeye sti for about $12k a little over a year ago, but it had some issues to be addressed and high mileage.
useful tip, turn the key to the "On" position without starting the engine. Within 30 seconds, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 20 times. This turns off that annoying beep for the seatbelt warning/reminder.
Thank you so much for posting this. I didn't realize how much I missed my '07 STi in SWP until now. You took me down memory lane with my old GDB STi. I was literally grinning from cheek to cheek throughout the whole video. P.S. Looks like you can't resist going into boost in this car (reminded me of how I couldn't resist not getting on it every time I drove it)
@@KAPSGarage That's very kind of you man. I would've love to take you up on the offer but I'm in NYC. Would've loved to feel the surge of torque from 3-4K RPM and the overall toy like feeling of the car again.
@@spiritzn6 its a damn blast!! I'm going to be putting up a little build series for it once I'm caught up releasing old footage of my BMW wagon build. So if you wana relive some memories feel free to tune in!
Thanks for this video man. For a few minutes I felt like the owner of my dream. It took my breath away. And now I am even more motivated to come to her! All the best to you!
My dad had a 2002 bugeye wrx turbo when I was little, bought it brand new off the lot in 02 drove it almost 400k, original engine clutch and tranny such a wicked car miss it so much.
And Im really happy with my blob impreza wagon 125 hp😂 really looking forward to buy and sti in the future! Freaking love my wagon even tough its only 125 hp. Fun fact, did a dragrace with my friend with 160hp galant v6 and I was ahead to 60km/h, so you can drive fast up to 60😂
Had a 2006 STI Hawkeye for 6 years. Have a 2020 STI now. The interior has been improved quite a bit. Really like the OEM 2020 wheels, short throw shifter option, steerable LED headlights, flat bottom steering wheel, gauges incl. boost, and Recaro seats. The ‘06 was slightly lighter weight with a taller hood scoop and came with terrific foglights (‘20 has none)
I’ve have my 2021 wrx sti for 6 months now I love it to death:)) but I can’t help but also love these older ones so much. Can you describe how the driving experience was different between old and new STI? Which you like better? Why? And how they are to daily?
@@danielbuttriss6879 you’re right it’s is heavy I came from a Pontiac solstice to a 21 sti so I can feel a HUGE weight difference. The STI is one of the most raw cars on sale today, even still it feel too over assisted. Numbish steering, number clutch pedal, light weight numb gas pedal. Can I fix any of these things with mods…? I already fixed numb and loose shifter with bushings.
@@Gii1234 easiest way to sort it out is to sell it and go after a early model probably have to import a gc8 sti there or if you wanna go with the va then obviously replace majority of your suspension have the motor built front mount and piss the stock position turbo off for a rotated set up but you’ll still have the heavy af curb weight with all the safety systems and will never get the feeling driving it as you would in a gc8 sti what I get everyday
Impossible to find one of these beauties in okay shape. Let alone for a decent price they still cost the same as brand new… :( been looking for months now.
Classic Subaru goodness. I still have my 04 Forester XT, owned it for like 12 years, still looks like new, still not another vehicle in existence to replace it. I own newer stuff, but zero manufacturers, including Subaru, has ever built a successor.
Sold my 2015 STI in 2021 to make room for my 911 Carrera S. While my 911 is the best I miss my STI. So, now I'm waiting for my 07 STI Limited to be delivered that I found in Ohio. Cant wait, and hope its all the seller said it is.
Just got my drivers license and the first car I rented was an Impreza!!... TS. Was kinda disappointed when I found out that it was an underpowered 1.6 Flat 4 that could get beaten on straights by a base Civic but boy does it corner quick!
Shes so beautiful !! Miss my 04 every day!! I normally love the boosted UEL rumble but your car is definitely the exception with running equal length headers
@@JaydenET you do realize that the second most serious things happen, having gauges won't help you? These engines run on such tight margins it's a wonder anyone bothers.
Fun Fact: Subaru developed an App to bring their immensely popular 'seatbelt chime' wherever you go. Waiting in line at the bank? Play the chime on endless repeat and share the Pavlovian experience with those around you. Looking for a new experience in the morning? Set your alarm to go off in the iconic chime. You can even set your "smart" coffee maker, microwave or doorbell to alert you in seatbelt chime. Disclaimer: During product development, 22% of subjects developed either acute psychosis, auditory hallucinations, intrusive thoughts and thoughts of suicide or homicide. Discontinue use immediately if any of these symptoms persist for more than 7 days.
I’m about to buy an 06 regular Impreza as a first car. We’re not allowed turbocharged models where I live (while on restricted licenses) so I’ll need to make do with this beauty for the time being.
@@Kageyama_Hiro Hahaha yeah the upside down wideband was bugging me. Mine actually came shipped upside down from AEM because I guess they dont check orientation at the factory. Easy fix, just thought it was funny.
That stupid h pattern air freshener is legitimately triggering my ocd 😑. But like my disorder aside. why do you have an h pattern dangling from your shift lever when ur shift knob has one on it? Don’t mean to hate though I love ur car!
DUDE WTF it pulls nice but everytime you got to 90mph close to 100 you let off..... i wanted to see what it woulda looked like pullin past 100.. like from 100-125 atleast u had plenty of room....
Not close at all, granted toyota and Honda donr really make a competitor. If they make a awd, turbo 4 rally car, they would ass ra** a subaru and with at least 100k miles of engine life to go after 1 of many unfixed issues with the sti break the motor.
@@remissiveslave thats not really that way, yes honda and toyota are more reliable, but subarus are not that bad, you only have to take more carefully all the maintenance, mine have more than 100k miles, and never had an important issue, now still going well just burns a bit of oil but i not worried
