I'm looking at getting a 2008 Blade, I currently drive the 2006 Corolla that this is based on. I do like the differences, like you said; looks more aggressive!
Toyota was making so many cool cars in the 90's and early 2000's and aside from a few Asian countries we didn't get any of them in the rest of the world. What a damn shame
Wow I can't believe I never heard of this. It's kinda like a successor to Corolla T-Sport / RunX Aero. Of course I know about Toyota Auris but this high performance luxury version seems so awesome, I want it
I've seen a good amount of these imported grocery getters in my region. Mainly the Toyota Estimas, Alphards, Caldina, Honda Odysseys, Edix, Stream. But I never seen this one in paticular before.
Couple of things... they are the incorrect alloys for that model, the Blade Master came with a 5 spoke design, the tuning fork ones are off a 2.4L Blade. That model you have is actually a Blade Master G, with the partial leather interior and Radar Cruise Control. Smell from air vents... change the cabin filter... it will be clogged with dirt and leaves as evident from the build up under the bonnet. Should clean up ok, an ok buy at the right price.
one of the smallest and lightest car to have the 2gr engine AND a toyota badge, lotus has a supercharged version of the exact engine in one of their cars
@@junit7590 In a straight line. They’re a hot rod and the chassis isn’t quite up to the power & weight in the front. Show them corners & they struggle for grip, under-steer and wallow. They’re basically a small Camry.
In Australia the hatchbacks are called Corolla Levin but the sedans are just called Corolla Idk what Toyota Australia was doing with that But we have to wait 10 years before being able to import a car so it doesn't affect new car sales so only recently us Aussies have gained access to the Blade V6
Man why do we get the most boring crap here in the US???? Model year 2007, you could get a Camry with this same V6, it hauled ass but the rest of the car was rather bland/boring and had the same cost cutting you mentioned on the interior of the Blade. Think about it, fastest Toyota badged car in the US was a dull Camry. You could still get the Corolla and 1st gen Matrix(love that funky wagon) with the 6 speed manual/2ZZ-GE 8,000rpm engine, but both of those went to lower hp lame engines in the next year or two. This Blade Master is rather awesome IMO, big high HP V6 in a small econobox package, it looks pretty funky as well. Also as a side note, the V6 in the Blade Master, Camry, Highlander, etc should have been the stock engine in the Toyota 86/Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ. That engine would have moved that light car with some serious authority.
Looks like a 3.5 V6 would be shoehorned for a compact. A 2 liter inline 4 might be best fit for it, and yet many of the newer units produce at least 250 horsepower. Some V6 engines now produce over 300 horsepower.
1. Explain how tf you are supposed to fit a straight 6 in a car of this size. 2. The 2GR makes way more power than the 2JZ (GE) stock. And there is no way you are fitting mods on this
