Thanks for the great video, on its basis I replaced the clutch in my zafira because as it turned out, the clamp broke. Everything went just like in the movie. Thanks again.
Great job and shows it can be done without dropping the sub frame. The early astras (. Before your time probably) could be done in 30 minutes through a window in the bell housing.
Masterfull work. I have Zafira gsi and clutch has gone. I only had one fitted in 2020 but like an idiot i got a used one from forums. This time i got a brand new kit and shes having the C20LET clutch upgrade. At the moment car will still drive but i have to set off in 2nd all the time and at lights etc shes trying to stall but there is just enough pedal left to stop her. She wants to go forward all the time so handbrake and rev lol. Be fixed soon as ive got all parts.
Ive just done rhis on my 1.8 petrol vectra. Brand new flywheel, clutch and bearing. Car will engage every gear and will pull away with the clutch disengaged but wont drive jnder acceleration? Also car dksent stall when in gear and handbrake on?
Hi kevin, If you used a pressure bleeder to bleed the clutch (like I did) and the seal behind the slave blew, would you replace the seal or the whole slave ? Thanks
To change the clutch, it is not necessary to remove the oil from the gearbox ???? I didn't see it, or he didn't get the oil. Can someone tell me if you need ???? thank you
Looks really easy when you are doing this, i thought that the Frame has to come of to take the Transmission out.....now i will change it like you did :-) Thx Mate. What Clutch is in there from the Dealer when it was built ? Valeo or what ?
Dear William, I found out that my Zafira 1.6 (XER) is much more like this 1.8 l. Do you also changeout the clutch slave cylinder as a matter of course? Greetings from Holland 🇱🇺
M. Torn definitely FTE. the inner workings of it will last you a minimum 6 years. I have a specialty modified rod that I use to wedge between the seat and clutch pedal to bleed the clutch
Steven Rudd no problem. I come up these ends a few times a month. My next trip up there is after next week. Send me your vehicle details www.williamsmobileclutch.co.uk
@@WMCS hey mate been watching your videos and decided to put a new clutch and slave in vectra c today, everything went well until it came to bleeding, the clutch pedal is completely soft and when open the nipple on slave, press clutch then close nipple, raise clutch.... no fluid coming out or air coming out and clutch staying soft. On first few attempts we did get fluid and hard pedal then went completely soft again. Should I try back bleeder or something ????
My zafira b with the same engine has developed an issue today. Was just driving along fine then put the clutch in and felt a pop through the peddle then couldn’t change gear. Nothing wrong at all before this happened. Had to high Rev and knock it into gear to get home from shopping. It’s on the drive but can’t get it into gear at all. Do you have any thoughts on what that could be? No clutch slip or anything before this. It just went completely randomly 🤷🏻♂️ edit.. also no leaks underneath or in the car and the fluid level is at normal level!
@@WMCS hi yes it goes into all gears with engine off. And the fluid level was where it should be and above the master cylinder pipe coming off the bottle. I’ve even topped it up to see if that helps now the car is stuck on the drive. Didn’t change a thing. Appreciate the reply thank you. I’m praying it’s the master cylinder. I’ve no leaks coming from anywhere
@@rayloudon apparently this happens a lot with these zafiras. Spoke to lots of owners. Some say they are on the 3rd clutch. Now that’s worrying. Nice cars to drive and comfortable. Not very fast though. Very heavy and sluggish mine feels. For a 1.8 Sri was expecting a lot more 🤷🏻♂️
