I completely blew out the rear-end of my Yamaha Raptor 700. In this video I tear down and rebuild the rear-end. I found some aftermarket parts, and will link them below. This video is pretty much a step by step, so it is a bit long. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. Below will be torque specs, and parts and tool links.
Torque Specs:
Wheel Lugs - 32 ft - lb
Flange Nut - 145 ft - lb
Sprocket Nut - 52 ft - lb
Axle Nut - 175 ft - lb
Locking Bolts (In Axle Nut) - 5.1 ft - lb
Brake Rotor Bolts - 24 ft - lb
Pinch Bolts - 15 ft - lb
Brake Caliper Bolts - 24 ft - lb
Parts and Tools:
46 mm Crow Foot: www.amazon.com...
New Aftermarket Axle:
www.amazon.com...
New Aftermarket Bearing case (Loaded)
www.amazon.com...
Rear Chain Sprocket Holder (Aftermarket)
www.amazon.com...
The rest of the parts O-rings, Brake Rotor Hub, etc, I bought from Rocky Mountain ATV. I bought them from the "OEM Parts" section based on my Raptor.
Thanks for watching...

i have a question when i baught my carrier bearing housing yes its great you said we had to grease the nipple but why do they have that round metal casing inside that carrier case why is it so loose wouldnt that be why the axel and bearings wore?? it doesnt make sense to me how loose and how much play that that piece inside the carrier is just wiggling around in there !??? so im guessing the greese holds it tighter in there ???? 🤦

I am not exactly sure what you mean about the round metal casing, but I am guessing that you are referring to a spacer, possibly? Definitely grease it. I think you are correct about the skid plate, I haven't replaced it and haven't had any issues. Thanks for watching.

@@azxp yea sry spacer or sleeve but yea i baught a 6000 psi grease gun to do my carrier so you need to buy the green industrial greese and its realy tight

What kinda grease did you use for the carrier

I used the red and tacky grease gun grease. Same stuff you might use on your front wheel bearings on your car or truck. I haven't had any issues with it so far, but to service it later, you need to completely take it apart, so when I do that, I may change it up to some sort of water resistant marine grease. Either way, you will be good to go, but if you plan on submerging it, I would definitely use some marine type grease. Thanks for watching. Sorry this happened to you. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@BroncosFan303 Still going strong, thanks for asking. I think sometime next year, I might tear it back apart and clean and relube it, but no issues whatsoever so far.

I'm in the same exact situation you are. How are those aftermarket parts holding up? Specifically the carrier bearings. My oem carrier is trashed. Was debating East Lake or spend the extra and go LoneStar.

So a year later and they are still holding up good. One of the nice things is the carrier comes with a grease fitting, but you have to completely dissassmble to get to it. This is nice because it wasn't an option on the stock carriers. My point is it can be maintained. So far so good. Thanks for watching, I hope it helped. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

2 years later still going strong. I probably should take it apart soon and regrease it, but still going strong. What did you end up doing?
