I was going to say this but I'm not sure why the manual says to remove all of this fan assy and shroud. I will try removing just the alternator and see if there is enough clearance, looks like there is but I have not tried. I will be doing this next week.
@@imnotofficial1660been lazy lol but for the 2008 Honda Accord, the fan against the radiator comes off individually and you have plenty of space. Pretty easy if you ask me. I will remove the compressor today. Last time I just touched the bolts around it to see if they were seized as they tend to do that because they are long and tend to rust in the middle which causes the small bolt to be really hard to remove but you just play it back and forth until you get it out. These bolts could break so just play it first.
@@SuperCubbyboy went out great, no need to remove the alternator. In my case I had a bolt at the bottom the one towards the pulley where the frame would not let me fit a socket so I could not get a good grip, tried with a wrench but with it not being six points, I did not risk going full at it so I needed to fit a six point socket, it was seized because I live in the rust belt (Indiana). A span wrench fits fine but only try if you can feel that it will be fine, for rust belt like us, dont go full on it unless you have a six point spanner. Had to undo the upper engine mount (one pass through bolt to raise it just enough to get to that bolt. Once I was able to fit a socket with a ratchet, I was able to get it loose. After that everything else is super spacious to work on. Will need short ratchets to fit them around to remove the lines around the compressor.
Thanks. Ordered new but they told me to replace shipping oil for pg46 or sp10. Did you drain the system? That did you do to refill it... I'm about to go in a garage for a pro vacuum, oil and refrigerant refill after installing new comp
I have 2012 accord , and my clutch is not properly engaging, it only engage on and off and blows cold air for the first 3 minutes, and after that it stops engaging completely and only blows warm air, should I replace the ac clutch only or should I replace the whole ac compressor ?
