The silver long trim piece on the door panel, along where the window controls are.... how does that cone off? Does it pop off or are there screws? (Basically do i have to remove door panel to remove that trim piece?) Any advice is appreciated.
I don't really know off the top of my head. I'd like to say that it's just held in by clips or tabs, but knowing Honda, they want you to remove the door panel. Which if that was the case, you can tell by this video there is nothing to it. Sorry, I couldn't help more, but I've never had to replace that part.
Update...try to pry it off. The reason is that I just came across a video of some dudes removing the factory head unit in the car and there is some trim over the glove box that they had to remove and it matches the trim you are talking about. Here is the link to that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BY7u0s5Mnnw.html
BuddyLe3 I appreciate your quick response. The trim on the dash itself is the easy part. I tried to pry off the trim on the door. Can't even get my awesome plastic pry bars into the crack to attempt. May just take the entire door panel off. I don't have to.... But the trim I have is wood grain and would prefer the silver or would rather vinyl wrap them something different like carbon fiber. Wood grain doesn't look bad. But I feel as if it looks dated (80s) being wood grain. Loved the 80s hate the wood. Lol.
. I painted my trim pieces but I cut one damn corner and broke them off. Not recommended cuz now I have to remount them with washers and some strong stick adhesive. Take the time to remove anything you're working on correctly!
