Ok, the LS3 in the C6 Vette is at oldest 14 yrs now. They were started in the 2008 model. This guy was just mild boltons with the biggest deal being the Kaotic cam. And he ran a best of 10.6 in the vid, and off vid did a 10.4 per one of the replies. Fast forward 12+ years and it’s a big deal that the Coyote Stang gets into the 10’s NA with a hell of a lot more mods than this Vette. I mean there’s chassis lightening, drag suspension work, full boltons, etc. I’m selling my Coyote. Cheaper, more reliable, and easier to go 10’s NA in a 2 Gen prior Vette. And it sounds sexier. 🇺🇸👍💪🦅
Just wanted to say thank you.. I have an 08 A6 .. Did the same cam and converter because of your videos.. went 10.9 on a 1.40 60' this past friday.. now i need a fast intake and skinnys :)
I saw this dude in action a while back. The best he did was 10.4 that day. This machine is awesome! Hope to see him again one day. That LS3 Vette is bad ass!
I agree. It took the Mustang a 10 speed auto and a few more years to get to this level running in the 10’s NA with bolt ons. And Chevy did it with the LS and a 6 speed auto. I know the Stang is quite a bit heavier. My next is going to be LS/LT powered. Camaro, Grand Sport Vette, ZL1 prior gen, Z06, will see.
N/a power is faster and more consistent power for power a500-600whp n/a car will easily beat a 500-600whp car in the winter and even more in the summer. More revs, powerband , u Power under curve , no heat soak , less weight , more reliable . It will take a 700-750+ whp boosted car or vette to run what a 570-620whp n/a vette could et and trap but it would be hero runs the n/a vette could do it back to back. No point In boost unless your going 850-1000+ whp because you will be pissed to spend 15 k on blower , fuel upgrades , meth and chiller killler and make 750whl and a 600 whp n/a car blows by at the track or street with a stock bottom end and fuel System
@@mikesanto69 yes you can lol. If you did all suspension and tires. Then did just cold air, longtubes catback and tune an ls3 c6 would probably go 10s lol. Maybe some wight reduction. They're already set up extremely well from factory
Wow just did a cam and heads on my Camaro thought a 3600 and 3.70 gear was next but this makes me want to stick with my stock gears might hook up better
Hey man I know this post is old but I was wondering if you could help me out. I’ve got an 06 ls2 that makes around 450rwhp and I recently took it to the track. I’ve got the same tires you’ve got in this video but I had horrible 60 foot times but still hooked. What did you do as far as torque management and active handling? That seems to be my issue. I can only cut like 1.7 60’
I know its hooking good, but you are doing the burnout way too far outside the water. you should be starting your burnout right at the leading edge of the water where its damp on the way out. You are putting alot of stress on that driveline trying to spin them in the vht area where its dry. Thats a huge no-no. Just an FYI.
Great job with this car. I saw you sold it a while ago (or at least had it for sale). If you had to do it again, would you? I've heard a lot of bad stories about racing/tuning the 6L80. Obviously you tuned it yourself with some pretty good results. I'm shopping around for my next car which I would like to put into the 10's consistently w/ an auto. I'd appreciate your input on the C6 A6..
I been wondering why they dont switch to 3.42s...there has got to be a reason...i ve seen them go 11.40s with intake full exhaust and converter and a 2.73 rear you would think 3.42s would put them in the 10s
I just got some f14/s for my vette and I ordered some 305/45/17s for the back but they’re in back order till next month but I found a few places with 315/35/17 in stock. I like how your setup looks, I wouldn’t mind going that route.
@@ShaneFap this video really set the bar for those of us late to the C6 LS3 game but thank you for these vids im gunning to beat your ETs so i have a goal i salute you sir last thing though why didnt you run the 17/8 headers and 3.42 gears?
You would do well to follow your own advice. Aside from all the punctuation errors, you used "your" instead of "you're" and put "serious" instead of "seriously." Don't call people out on basic things that you don't have down yourself.
This dude is one of those liars from hell. You all will never know what he did to get that car to run low 10’s. I love how they say “all I did was a cam and stall and I kept the factory gear ratio.
Shane Hinds I know it’s not rocket science, but you certainly aren’t giving away your set up. I get it, it’s the old cliche, I’ll build mine and you build yours. You have to pay to play in this game. But these kids are expecting you to give up all of your secrets. Cam, heads, tune, etc.
yeah shane better listen to this random nobody on youtube and tear down your trans for a repair........... crickets keep chirpin.....the world keeps spinning.
