Thank you Kevin for showing there is still people out there not afraid to work. Really inspriring to see, i´m a mechanic since 16 years and like to watch this, you are a proffessional, what you do is rare these days. Keep up the good work!
This is what good habits and a first class mind look like in motion, unstoppable, when the hood is shut there is no doubt the job is done and done well, he doesn’t cut time on the jobs he manages time , I work in the shop in the winter rebuilding farm equipment and the amount of time lost in people beating there gums is dumbfounding, one minute talking about something they saw on tv the next putting something back together wrong because of distractions and if there lucky they find it before it goes out the door if not lost time in the field
Wow, changing clutch is something most people wouldn't want to do themselves and if they do its enough to keep you wake at night. You do it almost daily, out in the open, crappy weather, cold, any type of car with their own "smart solutions"........just hats off, thats another level of hard worker. Just hope your body will not take too much punishment year after year. Time to hire someone to work for you and you can work with plan and dispatch while drinking tea ;) Also that you record it all, edit and upload......superhuman!
this mans family much watch with pride.... i do!! what a chanel! so much respect for the masked grafter! If your ever in birmingham and need a ramp, my shop is yours ..and i mean it .
thanks for posting solid detailed instructions. easy to follow and clear . I was offered a cheap 2007 sirion which needed a new clutch.. I think I'll politely decline.
Still watching Kevin, cannot get enough..............nothing but stlye, thorough meticulous and the list goes, no wannabes here . no bullshit music to hide inadequate ability ! No Sir you are the boss straight forward and efficient
Excellent Sunday morning treat woke up checked my phone and a new video from the number 1 grafter him self. Great video and skills. Thanks for sharing 👊👍
I found your channel yesterday, but I'm already hooked. Awesome stuff! I'd love to work on cars for a living, but sadly I don't have the skills lol. Greetings from Hungary.
When your friends say ,your in great shape ,he says i just change clutches for living .👍 Great vlogs mate reminds of my days of kerbside motors ,keep the vlogs coming .
My dads Hiace had 291 thousand miles on it when we sold it. He purchased it new and Mot history check shows it's had a fresh Mot this month. It had the original clutch and gearbox on it too. In all the time I've owned vehicles. I've never had to change a clutch for myself. I have however changed numerous clutches and gearboxes for customers though. This dude makes it look easy 😜👍.
if i ever need my clutch replacing i know who i'm calling :) do you have a favourite/least favourite car to work on? what's the most interesting/exotic car you've ever had to do?
Kevin you make as if that clutch shell is light. it is not! bloody hell i had to call the wife to help just to grab from the top, thanks for the heads-up
The clutch system is ok I prefer a hydraulic clutch myself like vauxhall Even audi peugeot and toyota dont use hydraulic clutches on many vehicles Never ever a problem with a hydraulic clutch They are superior
Hello, nice job. I have frontal and a lot of side to side play in the shifter of my sirion 2. Do the big rubber bushing underneath have anything to do with that? regards
what do you do if for example lower ball joint breaks? do you tell the customer that it is not related to the clutch and let it be or do you buy a part and install a new one?
@@WMCS I am thinking of this because I am going to start a similar company. it is important to know what the responsibility is in this job if something goes wrong. Here in Finland, ball joints are inspected targets and must be replaced if there is clearance
I have problems with first gear in my daihatsu sirion 2008 1.0 engine. When i start the engine is really hard to change to first gear but when i stop the engine gears are good. Is my problem in the clutch?
I think they’re Korean. But now you’ve mentioned it. I’m gonna have a look online. They are really reliable as far as I’m aware. Better than the Aygo/C1/107 in it’s category
Hi Kevin, what is the stuff that you sprayed on the flywheel and inside the clutch shell. Is it just water? Also regarding the flywheel, do you advise skimming whenever changing a clutch?
It’s just brake cleaner … I think skimming the solid flywheel makes more harm than good. You’re taking away from the compression of the pressure plate .. the clutch has springs built in to take any slight imperfections in the flywheel.
@@WMCS Can you please be so kind as to send me links to the products ? Its time for me to have my clutch changed do Exedy and Aisin have 190mm clutches for the sirion ? Luk does
What is the name of that swivelling head extension tool you use to get hard to reach nuts and bolts? I've been searching everywhere for it and can't seem to find one similar to yours. Great video by way.
