As a former avenger owner who loved my car, I really wish this would’ve come to fruition. I actually don’t like Star Wars at all. However an SRT avenger is what I hoped for for years. 😔
I agree with you, I’m not a Star wars fan at all but what they did to this car along with a lot of the ideas could have been made into a performance model. Things like the body kit and interior totally changed the “feel” of the Avenger at least for me for the better
My avenger was very reliable. I did some cosmetic upgrades like painting interior trim to match the body and also a custom exhaust with magnaflow and it sounded amazing. I put almost 100k kilometers on it. Replaced front lower ball joints and did all the pads and rotors once. Great car! Despite what people say
2008 white Avenger, that's my daily driver. It was our first family car and after it was wrecked and repaired a few times, paid off, I got the wife a new Journey and i use the Avenger for work. Great car fun to drive and parts are pretty cheep. Awesome low-budget alternative to a charger/durango duo
I don't see how it gets the rental car look. Looks better then some new cars that have power. And the 3.6v6 was never bad. Throw on a cat back exhaust from like flow master or magmaflow with a performance air filter or cold air intake upgrade and it's dope.
hear me out, ik I'm a bit late to this comment section, but been thinking about saving the money for a hellcat engine and calling it the hellvenger, might just sound fire to me but it sounds great to me
Ive contemplated making a plan to build a 2011 heat to be my own interpretation of an srt6 avenger. It has the 3.6 pentastar so i could order a ripp supercharger for it and forged internals. I would have to dig through the internet to see if i can find some kind of widebody kit or see if i can make my own. Id throw some 5th gen viper replica rims on it (the ones on the acr not gts) and maybe paint them black. Get some headlights like the ones on the storm trooper. Get a mild exhaust (im more of a v8 guy then a v6 so its just my preference). And since i do believe the car already runs on e85 because its a flexfuel car, im not sure if i would need to get it tuned for that but i would have to do a tune for everything else obviously. I think all together i would say itd cost roughly 30k-45k and im not entirely sure if its worth it but i havent seen any avenger that would be like it so i guess if no one else will do it i will of ever get the money.
You would need to find a stronger tranny. The one in the 3.6 cant take much more power than it already puts out. One of the main reasons nobodys done it yet.
@@ThatFijianBoy, I agree I own a 3.6 avenger and theres been times were I was a bit hard on it theres a winding up noise coming from the torque converter area, as of right now with only putting a cold air intake on it any more power may blow it out, I am capable of putting a turbo in and fabricating a mount out of steal or maybe titanium, but the transmission I know will not handle it, I even thought of rerouting the drive train and fabricating the frame and under body to convert it to a rear wheel drive but that's alot of work.
@@chrisnault4018 that would be quite the feat for the Avenger community. If you ever do decide to do any modifications like that you should document it and share your work on Avengerfourmz .com theres alooot of people with the same ideas but nobody is brave enough to try 😁
I also have 2009 Dodge Avenger and whoever said the car look weird from the side or ugly should slap themselves I got nothing but compliments about my Avenger. Dodge should have kept making this car for the future instead of that thing called the dart 😂
I like both Avengers, but the first generation I prefer. It would have been nice to see an Avenger SRT-6 similar to this concept. I was also hoping for a Dart SRT-4 when there was lots of talk about a powerful turbo 4 with AWD to compete with the Evo and WRX. I can definitely see how financial issues prevented Dodge from making the Avenger SRT-6.
the 3.5 & 3.6L all were performance cars. 3.6L Avenger 0-60 in 6 seconds. 3.5L was no slouch, either. A tune, lower restriction exaust, K&N air filter etc would make them even faster, ofc. Down into the 5's :D
If this wasn’t Star Wars themed, I think it would of made it to production for the performance. A 260hp v6 from Chrysler would of been big in 2008 especially in this car segment.
I currently drive an Avenger. Its not a performance trim at all. And its no sports car. But its a great starter car. This car could’ve been the next neon srt-4. I’ve never watched Star Wars a day in my life. The seats and wherls aren’t that appealing to me, however the rest of the car looks really cool. In todays tuner car culture, this car would have been a huge success.
I actually have a 2013 Avenger R/T as my daily. Great power and handling for a v6. With it being front wheel drive it takes literally nothing to spin the tires. You can turn off TracControl mash the gas and she'll spin for awhile. I'm looking to pick up another daily and start working on this. Im either going to go supercharger and modify the hood to mounting a turbo all the way in the rear.
Lucky man I have the 4 cylinder n while it's certainly not slowly I definitely feel it's lacking power would love to be in a v6 one one day but haven't seen many rts around
@@truevhazo4001 You can the same year one thats an R/T for under 8k around me. I bought mine for 10k awhile back and currently only has 77k miles on it. She's been well maintained and still looks like it came straight out of the factory. I drove the 4cyl a few years back as a rental. It was gutless compared to the v6.
I wish an srt 6 or a Mopar adaptation for the avenger would have come to fruition. You had an srt 4 neon/caliber and an SRT8 charger why couldn't we get an srt 6 avenger version with the V6.. turbo charged AWD.. or at least a AWD r/t turbo V6 avenger.. that would of been awesome.. or even a srt6 dodge stratos or an srt 6 Chrysler Sebring or an srt 6 dodge journey.. can the 6 cylinder get any love..
That's a nice ride!Liked it all except for the taillights, and I'm loving that tint, looks great w the white.I want that tune on my Grand Caravan 4.0l,I love that motor!!175,000 and runs STRONG.How about a segment on the 4.0l engine and it's recipients?Idk,I really like that motor!Am i the only one.Good day Mars 👍Mopar or NO CAR.
..a dude i talked to had an R/T Nitro, AWD, said he got mid 20's mpg and it was a fun & fast cruiser. ..my '93 LeBaron convertible needs that engine to replace the 3.0L Mitsu..a nice engine, but I want NASTY! Muaahaha.
@@tomj4406 maybe i haven't found it yet?!,but there has got to be more out there on performance mods for the 4.0L, I know alot of em are in older Jeep Cherokees.I'm really trying to WAKE IT UP MORE!Apoligize if I've wandered off topic.Good Day! Mopar or NO CAR 👍Oh and BTW i haven't seen a LeBaron in years,my granddad had one and loved it.
@@Maine76 Yeah, it's my summer daily..totes fun to drive..not over damped like modern cars, yet handles quite nice. AC, pw, pdl, is all the options i need..i don't have to be surrounded by options in a car..4 pg long list of heavy, expensive malarkey, it's crazy nowadays. Gimme power steering, power brakes and power gas :D the CG ofc is very low down, too bc drop top. biggest Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tires i could fit are 10mm wider than stock, that and it helps to get good 3 season tires. 4.0L hop ups? Idk. Sucks about 3.3, 3.8 and some other engines a far as upgrades. maybe a custom grind cam could be made? bigger items (higher flow) on the intake and exaust end ofc always helps..matching increases up on both ends, always best. 4.)L didn't have a very long production run..the 3.6L hit & supplanted it which is a hopped up V6, right off the showroom floor. Ppl screaming about "No performance model" on cars that came with it are just being silly! Good luck on your quest.
Yeah I believe a few parts from this car should be taken and that’s the SRT. Body style, engine, some of the interior, and bam you got a pretty sweet car that’s still an Avenger but more top of the line
DAMMIT... now I really miss my 95 avenger! Aesthetically it was just like this, 35% blue tinted windows, blue racing stripes with white electricity cracking, viper duraflex body kit, dodge stealth leather interior and rear wing, custom moon roof, pearlecent white paint, and knockoff fast and the furious supra wheels painted the same pearlecent white as the car(I think American racing)! Less than 30,000 miles in 2011, Fuckin thing was clean when it was stolen!
I bought a new white Avenger R/T in 2010, nice car, excellent 2 tone leather interior, right size and weight. Nice chrome clad wheels, rear spoiler it looked the "part" but .. Indeed it was under powered for a R/T model, leaving a big "what if ". What if there was a 300 hp SRT engine and rocker panel extensions ? The exhaust system was a 2 into 1, then 1 into 2, what a mess. Typical Chrysler failure to fully exploit a model. In late 2012 I did trade it in on a Challenger.
I love my 6 speed avenger with my magmaflow exhaust and k&n cold intake with a chip tuner. Haven't had a check engine light come on for almost 2 years now. Fuckin super car
I like the front splitter and the rear taillights . Idk about the white interior. The gauges are plus . But needed a manual!!! And How about a Boba Fett edition?
Dodge never listen to the consumers on what they want. We have been asking for a hemi car with all will drive scenes demon. The only one they did make was the viber. Which they stopped making. This would have been a great car. Dodge just doesn't get it. Maybe one day they will wake up and realize the consumer is always right.
ive got a 2013 avenger, and as much as i love the styling, body shape and small, yet sporty look, I wished there would have been an srt version....or atleast something that has better handling, and higher quality engine components. Ive had to replace the "plastic" radiator T thing where the radiator cap goes 2 times already in the past 3 years. Not to mention, the car itself sucks in bad weather driving. I live in ohio, so im subject to nasty winter driving with icy, snowy and sloppy roads. Got forbid you hit anything even remotely wet, and the car instantly wants to just go every single direction, except the direction im actually trying to go. Not to mention, when it snows its really frustrating to watch people passing you because your car cant seem to handle going over 35 mph when theres a tiny bit of snow on the road. Nothing like getting passed by a U-Haul truck with a trailer cause your car refuses to go straight anytime you attempt to give it gas when theres even less than 1/8th of snow on the road, and you can't go over 35 mph without almost losing control. Not what i expect from a car thats only 6 years old with new tires, and brakes and less than 100,000 miles on it.
My first job was a Dodge salesman and if they had actually made an avenger art I would have purchased it and if it were awd they could have had a wrx or Evo fighter.
I honestly wish the Avenger would have came in a V6 and V8 only instead of being an overweight dart with 2.4L As you can see on my channel the V6 Avenger is pretty sporty even by todays standards and V8 AWD would have been amazing
I like it tho,The Plainness Reminds Me Of When I Was A Child Watching Casper The Friendly Ghost For The First Time Ever♥️🌪️Nice,If It Ain’t White,It Ain’t Right!😂🌪️
..the term goes back to WWII at least..it was a non official term for Nazi military troops. George Lucas like the menacing ring to it. (Pretty sure..unfortunately, Nazi's could shoot straighter, lol) He used WWII aerial combat footage to help set up the dog fighting of X-Wings and TIE Fighters, over the Death Star. He drew from history a lot..old, yet solid themes that resonated with ppl, regardless of the era. Much of Star Wars is taken both from Mythology and the Holy Bible. An example..the name Anakin. There was a tribe of giants, called Anakim. They were extra fierce, long necked giants. 9'+ tall.
If I was a Dodge executive I would get the Dodge Avenger and make them as a special car with the Captain America and Hulk and Iron Man. With really cool ain't jobs and interiors. Get a Hemi in them and then watch the sales go through the roof
V6 should’ve been standard on all models and the top of the line model should’ve atleast gotten the 5.7. I love the avenger but it could have been a lot better than wat we got.
I REALLY APPRECIATE THE DODGE AVENGER SXT...I THINK THE CAR WILL GET RESPECT FROM THE YOUNGER AND MIDDLE AGE PEOPLE..I'M TRYING TO GET A 2013 DODGE AVENGER SXT WITH UNDER 19.000 MILES AND A PRICE OF $11.500 ..
It was a bleh car in a dark time for all the American brands. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either. The Stormtrooper could've sparked some sales, but it wouldn't have saved Daimler-Chrysler nor the Avenger from a destiny with mediocrity. At least FCA saw the light and started making some great vehicles. They're a world apart from the Avenger now.
Good point there. At least it was bleh enough to last until 2014 unlike many other cars of the DaimlerChrysler era, just would have been cool to see the SRT but cool isn’t always the best financial move lol. FCA has definitely turned a corner now
@Steve Jones A tweaked Galant chassis, nice neutral handling..no bad manners..stable..which is good. the rest of the car, ie styling, drive train were Dodge.
See here's the thing. Yanno how all BMWs look like different sizes of the same car because of design language? That's what Dodge tried to do with the Avenger by attempting to make it a mini Charger, but failed miserably. If only Dodge would have achieved this then the possibilities would have been endless.
the dummy should of made a marvel avengers version and dropped a hemi in it and made models for each character it would of sold for sure maybe stan lee would of agreed to it
Yes it would have been a game tester if you couldn't afford a challenger or charger girlfriend seven little bit more small lightweight and yet powerful
This car is was a piece of shit tho. Cheap parts. Looks nice but is piece of shit and just another money pits. Also if you drive this car around upstate or any where it snows, it will rust and have problem with the front and rear subframe. 08 mode had recalls for those .
"What happened?" "Destroyed! By The Empire!" Yup..another fabulous MoPar vehicle, snuffed out. I wish I had the kaching to make a Clone Trooper of this car :D Start w/a AWD Avenger and copy most or all of this stuff..there was a used AWD 3.5, a white one for sale a few miles from me a few yrs ago..100k, $5,000. "Damm!" Although, ideally use the 3.6L mill. Btw, Marspeed..I try to watch your vids using my TomJ440 ch. then switch to this GTA5 one..let the vid run though again whilst commenting. Extra like, comment and view time 4u! Yw. ..looks like you capped the 10 min minimum for monetization by 2 seconds, well done! LoL! Tesla. I bet ya $100 the glass on this car is tougher than Tesla truck glass!!! :D
