The Heng Long Sprint 3850-1 is a 1/10 scale 2 SPEED 4WD Shaft driven NITRO TOURING RC CAR that originally comes with a GMS2000 .15 sized Nitro glow engine.
However mine was found on the street during a council cleanup so we had to see if we could get it going.
I incorrectly assumed this was a HSP car and thought therefore it will use a Vertex VX18 / 18CXP
However the VERTEX VX18 is designed for 3 HSP models only:
HSP 94122 Touring
HSP 94177 Rally
HSP 94188 Monster Truck
So did we gave up? Or does Corporate Nitro never quit!
We had to buy the (wrong) engine new (from AliExpress) and do a complete break in process.
The engine is tight as, and reliable, but the clutch components and pilot shaft are really bad.
If the E-Clip didnt keep falling off the pilot shaft it would have been OK.
The carb is fine and pullstart is great.
However its a very long small block engine and will not fit any RC chassis unless its HSP branded without serious modifications.

You can buy any part for the chassis on AliExpress buy looking up code 3850-1 or maybe add HL or Heng Long in front of that code.
