Actually, they are not that tight. Here, the driver’s seat is really far back, and I can tell you from experience. My dad has owned one for almost ten years, and I’ve been in these back seats for many long journeys, and I’m looking at it as a potential first car now. From what I know and have seen, when the driver is average sized and correctly seated, the back offers as much space as many nowadays sedans and SUVs : BMW 3 series touring, Mercedes CLA, Audi A5, VW Golf, VW T-Roc, or even a BMW X1 from the same year.
