It's much rare than a M3 or C63, It's more economical and it's interior looks a lot more nicer. Also I haven't heard of any problems coming from the IS-F, whereas if something was to happen to the Mercedes or the BMW, you'd have to be prepared to cough up a lot of cash to get it fixed right. The only car I would considering buying other than an IS-F is a E60 M5, I can pick one up for $14,000+ less, but because of the fuel and parts, I would be willing to pay that extra $14,000+ for an IS-F.
@alphie10 - It wasn't quieter, slightly louder but with a much deeper tone. After about a month or two of driving the exhaust got louder... There are other systems available that are louder but that's not what I was going for...
@unboxingsandhowtos I liked them both. The F is more comfortable and tame for every day driving and also gets better fuel mileage. The M3 is a bit more radical. The M handles better than the F but they are both very close in drag-race performance, it all depends on getting traction off the line...
@rylee44 lol so what are your thoughs on the 8spd tranny? I used to be a vehicle evaluator and was able to drive a prototype cheyenne (sp) and its turbo brother, it took some time to get used to but it works. Had a few time where passing someone I downshifted 2 gears to get the revs going.
@vash241987 I believe that is about that fastest shifting automatic I have seen. It was pretty quick, very responsive... It would scratch second gear if you get on it in sport mode... Never had trouble with it. The DCT i the M3 is alot better for performance though...
The only real competitor out of your list is the C63. Here is a video which may make your choice a little more easier. /watch?v=hzp7xHaC4NA There is also part 2.
It is just an axle-back exhaust. Installing high-flow cat's or removing the cat's would make it sound much louder... Much more depth was added with this exhaust rather than volume.
Brett Madden under 30 if you don't mind the miles. If you get it through Carmax get the warranty on it. Bullet proof car but the warranty gives you more peace of mind. I would also suggest 2010+ since it comes with a Torsen LSD. This car needs a proper lsd not some electronic crap that is brake actuated.
Tyler Smith bro there is no ISF for $50k that's retarded high no a really really nice one with low.miles is high $30k area maybe $40k but that's a perfect one
