@kenmastersmaster you're wrong bud. AMS cars are guaranteed. I have own an AMS tuned Evo with many Ams parts. In 3 years, I have encountered very few problems. This shop is pricey, but they are the real deal. I'm lucky to live in Chicago and have such easy access to them.

I love how the factory car is already amazing, and this version just kills everything else.

@nova9403 this one is manual but AMS is now making the 900x package available for the SST trans, with a dodson build trans, the same ppl that build the transmissions for their GTR builds.

The video that made me want to buy a Mitsubishi… 🤤 👏 Have to love the angry sounds of that motor and turbo. 11.1 on a fully unprepped surface is remarkable, BTW. 🙌 It would be at least a half second faster at a prepped dragstrip.

You are correct that the turbo kit itself is like 5500, but unless you have a built engine, a 900x turbo is pointless. You would have to run low boost so you dont put a rod outside the block as well as it would be laggy as hell. This is why its recommend to get their 2.4tdx kit ($26k), extra displacement helps the lag and the block will be able to withstand a shitload of power.

@BobTheSnail42 It shows how many G's are generated before the car loses grip. Some cars have a tendency to understeer causing them to go wide, while others have a tendency to oversteer causing the rear of the car to step out causing them to drift or either loose control. Both will cause a car to have a lower "g" generated. Typically, the higher the "g" the better a car will handle or corner.

Edmunds always had issues with shifting quickly. The numbers would of been better on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times if the driver would just drive it like he stole it. Where is Jeremy Clarkson when you need him

AMS single exit turbo back system. Just got it on my x and its awesome but only if your hardcore and dont minde alot of cabin noise and flames shooting out the back

@flat6fanatic Yes. It ran the street class at 2010 Super Lap Battle Finals taking first place and has a full interior. Its outfitted with an AMS 900X turbo kit. The same kit the AMS TA/X campaigned in for the 2009 Redline Time Attack series.

@Krazymuffin90 Its because of the wheels camber. Less surface area to stop on in a strait line. just like the Mugen racing s2000 has a longer stopping line than the stock one.

Take the stickers, rear wing, and give it a neutral color scheme. You'll have a sleeper. People won't be able to tell if this EVO was fast or not. M3 guys and AMG guys would be shock. Impressive car indeed.

I couldn't agree more. I just got a 2011 Evo X and the plastic in the interior rattles like crazy. this car is definitely not for someone looking for a lux/posh interior. Only good thing about the interior are the seats. LOL

Obviously hes doing his shifting a bit conservatively, but i think thats a good thing especially for a high hp car like that.. Its easy to miss gears.

I appreciate a turbocharged Japanese car, when it's done right. In my opinion, this Evo is positively bad-ass, and it wasn't ruined by the typical ricer fare, like ridiculous bodykits or a stupid paintjob. Someone just took an Evo and said, "Let's make this thing haul ass." Also, I can see it benefits by having JET PROPULSION out the exhaust! Jesus, this car is moving a lot of air.

1/4mile is as quick as a Ferrari 458 Italia...impressive

The slalom and brake test results are very similar to stock.. 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are the only noticeable improvement

@cardude1992 Yes there was alot but you have to get that turbocharger to spool at maximum speed to get the best times be regardless of that, i do have to kind of agree.

i agree on the 2.4 part of your statement. But a car making 500hp on stock block isnt going to last long. Unless its making 350trq by 5000+rpm. My Evo blew 3 months with 423hp but that was due to my tuner.
