In defense of Calibre Yacht Sales.... Every yacht brokerage has a "style", when they offer a yacht for sale. Richard Evans, has his own style as well, which matches the lifestyle of the North West quite nicely. Yes he spends more time describing the wood than other reviewers, but he is trying to convey a sense of maritime quality and craftsmanship, which is missing from many modern motor yachts. You can clearly see that he enjoys his job. Thank you Richard for showing us a little bit of heaven on earth and the Trawlers that can weather a storm or two as well.
Thank you for your comments. We do enjoy what we do. Our potential clients can always check out our website for more details or give us a call and speak to the broker.
I love watching Richard's presentation videos. It's a relaxing experience. One review describes him as the Bob Ross of marine sales. I agree! I've even got going with a "Richard Boat Drinking Game". It's simple, really..Every time he says 'beautiful', I take a sip of wine... 😆. After 4 videos, I'm well oiled... Seriously though, his knowledge and passion for these boats comes through and he's a consummate professional. Keep 'em coming Richard! 👍
Absolutely gorgeous stainless steel everywhere. Spacious, elegant and redundancy on everything important. Personally I love everything about this beautifully built boat. Again, the fit and finish is impeccable.
I want to buy every boat in all the Calibre Yacht Sales videos that Richard has narrated - what a salesman; what a passionate lover of fine motor yachts!
I love these boats, With your calm confident tour I can really imagine myself owning a boat like this. These boats give you the ability to go ANYWHERE...
A couple of tips since I have seen a few of his videos. 1. less pots and pans and gaga over the wood 2. engine room, gen size, fuel capacity, engine power and cruising speed. 3. have your video crew go back and film the boat so they can items you talk about can edited in. i.e. beautiful roomy shower, large storage drawers. We more than often see you instead of the subject 4. try to cut back a bit on the "Mr. Rogers" presentation. Look a presentations done on "The Boat Show" You have a beautiful boat to show. Thanks
@@jasonjmarchi Sorry Jason, this is called a critique and hopefully helps the the salesperson know what other things we would be interested in hearing about. Also please check your spelling.
@@jasonjmarchi I won my won video, but your two stoopid to fimd it. I dare you. It's listed under "Smarmy Salzmen Swoon Over Silly Shit and Fergit the important stuff". Got it?
I always enjoy your tours of the various boats that Calibre has for sale. Like one of the other people who commented, I am convinced to buy. Again what a superb presentation you have.
An excellent introduction and she certainly looks like one beautiful vessel except I must say I was a little disappointed because you did not show the heart of the boat that's the engine room. I can simply imagine the top-of-the-line Mechanics seeing how the boat was so will build.
The first thing I always notice in a yacht is the rigid hard top, perfect for the Pacific Northwest, and keep in mind the thick transom door and the fact that this wonderful space can be set up to be fully enclosed.
the enthusiasm that this man does his job is exceptional,, I think he must be very good at his job and although its part of the deal, I would buy a boat from him any day,,,, a real salesmen
Thank you for your kind feedback! Please visit our website at calibreyachts.com/ for new listing boats and feel free to contact the broker for more information.
Richard, you could make a sinking dingy sound wonderful. You do such an excellent job of showing these vessels. Of course it does make it easier with a manufacturer like Selene!! Keep it up!!
You guys must understand that the people buying these boats don't care about the engine, specs, price, fuel economy etc...They're more concerned about the creature comforts and the wow factor. This guy knows his market and how to sell these boats.
I hope that Mr. Evans is doing well and enjoying life to the fullest! Is he still with Calibre Yacht Sales or has he retired? All the best to all of you!
Someone said it sold for $1.2M. Nice inside with lots of pretty wood, warm and homey feeling. The galley is a bit small though. Nice design and color outside. Nice trawler. Wish I knew the fuel consumption at cruse speed (could look it up) Thanks for sharing.
Dear Richard I love the way you present a detail tour of vessels. I went thru ur all videos. can u be independent reviewer and keep reviewing n presenting many more vessel which may not be listed on ur calibre yatch sales? Regards Addy.
I was a professional seamen for most of my working life. In any other reference, The "Cockpit" is the control centre. On a ship, the section of the boat he is calling the cockpit, is either the Stern, the After deck or the Poop deck. His "Bridge deck", being an open control centre would be called "The flying bridge" I'm not being critical. These are just my observations as an Australian.
On yachts, the 'cockpit' is exactly what he called it...the cockpit. Yes, old nautical calls this the aft or quarterdeck...but not on a yacht...then again, who puts a VIP quarters in the forecastle? (pronounced 'foke sale' to you land lubbers).
425 HP Yanmar diesel, holds 1300 gallons of fuel and has a 3800 Nautical mile range, or 4,372 miles, or 7037 kilometre. A nautical mile is based on or I should say equal to 1/60th of a degree of latitude. It is 1.151 miles and equal to one knot of speed. so 12 knots x 1.15 = 13.8 mph. I'm guessing to get 4300 miles out of it the cruising speed would be about 9 to 11 knots. It is 2450 miles from Los Angeles harbor to Hilo Harbor in Hawaii and that would take this boat cruising at 10 knots 9 to 10 days depending on wind and current and is well within its range. Big boat for only one engine, but then they are rather expensive.
Hello Lucky B.Since she is sold now, we took down the link for specs. If you would like to see specs of this vessel... please contact to info@calibreyachts.caThank you
Always appreciate feedback Thomas. We always look at ways that we can tweak our videos, we're here only because of our followers and fellow enthusiasts! Thanks

All LRCs must have large frig/freezer in galley (larger than this one), separate ice maker, and a large spare freezer in machinery space (like this one.)
Agreed. He called that puny rediqulos freezer very very large. That's the moment I no longer trust this salesman. He lost what credibility he had with me. He could sell snake oil to a snake oil salesman.
I was wanting to twist the camera person about so we could actually see the items you described.I have no clue what the engine is.I'm glad it will get'up to 3400 miles'.but at what speed please?I liked what I saw,and you did describe the majority of it well.I'm guessing $250-400k?
Yeah mate beautiful beautiful boat and so much room, a very rumi boat . But does she have a engine room? If so where be this room and how do you get there ?
Once again . What about the power? Twin or single screw? Gas or Diesel? Who was the manufacturer? More about this info. rather than all the teak. All in all it's a beautiful boat.
Astrodiver 1 if he is selling you a boat you will own it after two days , why? Because that's when he will stop talking so you can take advantage to pay him...just look at the teak, just look 😂😂
