I love how this guy replicates the Miramax movie style with his own little spin on it. He is one of the many amazing creators who keeps this beautiful community intact way after our favourite series' discontinuation. Keep it up Vrahno!
@@viliussmproductions I think it’s a perfect style for the transition between Miramax and Tinseltoon. Since Miramax movies began using set pieces more and more as the movies continued
I'd say it's like if the Miramax films made a little more effort to be set-accurate. (Not that I don't love the film designs! But compare the Kraahkans.)
I really love how cool you made Tahu Mistika. That classic-style breastplate really offsets some of the awkwardness in the original design, and makes his 4 jets look cooler somehow. Like they actually belong there, now.
I have added Toa Nuva chest plates to my own 2008 models of Gali and Tahu. This is easy to do, and they look so much better this way. I also did the same to my 2007 models of Huki, Hali, and Kalmah.
@@nickytembo4112 Honestly that's something I've never cared about, the Mistika designs look awesome. Phantoka do too aside from Pohatu who I personally think looks pretty bad. Plus I've never been much of a fan of the Nuva designs, I think Tahu looks awesome and Pohatu and Kopaka look pretty cool.. But Lewa?... Ew, and Onua and Gali just look like uglier versions of their Mata designs.
Only remains the Av-Matorans, the Shadow Matorans, Toa Ignika, the Klack Rahi and the 3 vehicles from the Codrex; and you can make a fanfilm from the 2008 year Well Tanma and Takanuva are done
@@Tributronbluewhiteman Maybe you could work together? Have some of the more important scenes done in animation, and slower paced storytelling done with your stop motion. But that would only make sense if Vrahno is interested in making a movie anyway, we are all just speculating.
@@danielgrizzlus3950 perhaps we might however a big concern is animation consistency between Vrahno's and my work. Like imagine the continuous switching between 3d and stop motion. Don't get me wrong it pains me to say something like that since Vrahno's work is a godsend from heaven. But we can't always add a nicely grilled steak on top of a beautiful birthday cake, but hey who knows there might be a way for us to work together like scenery and background imagery, that would keep things consistent
Dude you should 100% make a friggin movie after all the required models are made sure it would take a really long time but with your skills at this stuff I'm sure it will be really great if it ever happens anyways have a nice day!
I love this so much. reminds me of Miramax, and your improvements to the set forms are so considerate and effective. We are lucky to have fellow fans as skillful and dedicated as you!
I find myself sexually attracted to Vamprah and Icarax's wings. They're so much better than anything we actually got from LEGO, and even MOC revamps fail to give us those large, bat like wingspans that they rightfully deserve. Antroz also counts in your style with his large wide wings, but I like that Vamprah and Icarax's wings are closer to the body like real bats should.
@@jasonalcatraz5817 The Makuta with bat-wings would have looked so much better if they had wings like those on Smaug, from the 2014 set "79018-1: The Lonely Mountain". Those wings were extendable, with flexible membranes. Too bad those wings never got used in later sets. So who is your favorite Toa? Hahli Mahri? Kopaka Nuva? They're the only Toa with wings.
i love all of these, you did a great job, i like how set accurate they are too. But i really love the liberties you took to make them fit into the canon setting. like tahu nuvas chestplate and bitils wings, very cool
Yes! Your renderings, Vrahno are truly legendary. I have one question though: did you give Pohatu the same feet as Lewa on purpose, rather than the clawed toa inika foot (piece 53542) in his original set? This is a terrible nitpick, but I am merely curious.
This is the very first time that I've been satisfied with redesigns for the Toa Mistika. Exceptional designs for all of them, but I find it especially commendable that you managed to make the Mistika look good without overhauling their designs.
I love that you gave all the variations of these toa unique eye colors. I was really disappointed by the fact that they dropped that around 2006, resorting to just green and orange from then on.
Appearances of all Toa Nuva and Makuta bozos Makuta 0:00 Antroz 0:15 Chirox 0:31 Vamprah 0:47 Gorast 1:02 Krika 1:18 Bitil 1:34 Mutran 1:49 Icarax Toa Nuva 2:05 Lewa 2:21 Kopaka 2:46 Pohatu 2:52 Tahu 3:08 Gali 3:24 And last, but not least, Onua
I really like the subtle changes you made to the Toa Nuva, especially with the masks for Kopaka and Gali, and making Onua hunched again. I also liked the detail of their eye colours. I got into Bionicle late, and so my first Toa Nuva sets were the Phantoka. I love them, but looking at images of the old Toa Nuva, I can see why people might not like them; they don't all match well, but I think your adjustments too them here go a long way to changing that.
Appreciate the work you put into the new Toa designs. You did as much as humanly possible to salvage their new looks without totally reinventing them. Onua just looks like a hordika I swear…
Gali and Onewa are perfection. Similar enough to still be called Mistaka but with some callbacks to their Nuva phase, such as the armour and Gali being straight and Onewa being hunched.
Oh how I wish there were a Bionicle movie with your models. I love how you kept faithful to the toys, yet added some details to fill them out (Icarax's shoulder armor to make it more cohesive with his legs, the Nuva-style armor on Tahu, etc.). Outstanding work, made even more impressive by the passion for a toyline that's been gone for 20 years (G2 notwithstanding). Between your Bionicle and Godzilla content, you and I would've been best friends if we ever met in school. Love your work. Always eager to see what else you have in store.
Man, those are great. Although, even though 2008 was the year as a 9 year old I was really into Bionicle, and the sets still have nostalgia, the Toa Nuva really lack some of their character in the sets. I feel like the “mandatory” must have Skyblaster/phantoka launcher lessened each characters personality. Also God too much silver and grey.
Such subtle changes that manage to greatly refine the designs, not only restoring the character to them and bringing out the best stylizations of the Miramax films but also preserving the aesthetic of the 08 sets. I'd kill to see a feature length movie using these models
Dude, these are so freaking good. I mean, you absolutely nailed every single one and then made them better than the original designs. Words really can't express how happy these collections of polygons make me.
I love coming back to watch these videos, you've GOTTA team up with some folks to make an animated series using them. Y'know, re-enact the comics and books.
These looks so amazing, similar enough to the original movie trilogy style without making them too different. And the little added pieces to bulk up some of the Toa especially are fantastic. Also, THANK YOU for giving the Toa their original eye colors lol
These are all awesome models! I think this is what they’d look like if 2008 got a Bionicle movie. I actually have a theory that there was gonna be a Bionicle 08 movie, mostly evidenced by the recolored Photoks and Tanmas shone in The Legend Reborn. I doubt they only made those models for Bionicle 4, when they weren’t even seen in 2009. Anyway, love your work!
Really amazing work, I love seeing people still making amazing Bionicles content all these years later. I've never been a big fan of this year of Toa, I think it kinda fell flat but the Makuta always looked sick to me.
Just discovered your channel. You’re doing Mata Nui’s work! I love how you incorporated some subtle but needed improvements to the 08 toa designs. This is the missing movie bionicle fans have been waiting for! I’ve never wanted to crowdfund a project that doesn’t exist so bad lmao.
These models are so great, well done! I could never dream of making anything nearly as good as these, you deserve every subscriber you have and more. All of these models are beautiful and mostly accurate, splendid job! I cannot put into words how proud I am to be in the same community as you, keep up the great work!
Just found this channel and I gotta say those are some great looking models. They could fit right in that old Piraka bionicle game, although yours look much better obviously.
Spiriah crying on a corner. For real though, this has been stuff I have been waiting for for over a decade, you have no idea how happy I was to see the Makuta (almost) all completed.
Excellent work! Very much reminded of the old Bionicle movies. Maybe it's just me, but I kinda wished some of the Makuta had different eye colors for variety (much like some of the Toa have). Like... Antroz and Icarax could have sickly green eyes, Chirox with dark green, Gorast with rose red, Bitil with deep purple, and Krika with icy blue. Vamprah and Mutran can keep their orange/red eye colors, though.
I shouldn’t be so happy that you got the Toa Nuva’s eye colors right, but I am. Way to go on redesigning the Mistika, they actually look themselves now!
I love your work! Fantastic animations! Thank you for giving the bat-winged Makuta larger wings, for giving Bitil some 1998 insectoid wings, and for giving most of the Toa Nuva their original eye-colors. I only have 2 constructive criticisms: please give Tahu pinkish-red eyes to match his brain and chest-light, and give Kopaka a blue chest-light. He is, oddly, the only Toa whom you did not provide with a chest-light.
Holy crap, what an oversight! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. No idea how I forgot his heartlight, even though I almost always have a nagging feeling that I neglected something every time I finish one of these models.
