Perfect I sat in my truck waiting for my dog's grooming appointment, I had already bought the switch but had to stop and buy the T-20 driver in a matter of minutes I had the switch in and things back together. Thanks a lot for your video

Great video. Broke the turn signal when I removed the dash replacing the a/c evaporator. The time to replace the multifunction switch was less than 5 min.....and I was quoted 2 hours of labor by a local shop.

Very good video.... However; I have a question, If my horn, left turn signal is blinking but light itself does not blinks, neither the left side reverse is working. Also if I click my steering wheels arrow to look at what the computer says it won't do anything. What do cost that? is it the Fuse box or a part that goes in the steering wheel?? Thanks you!

I need help. Just replaced my brake light switch on my 2011 Ram in the hopes of it repairing my non functional cruise control. I guess next is replacing that cruise switch right? I’ve looked for fuses and relays and I can’t find any other info. What’s your opinion?

David does this switch control the buttons on my steering wheel that control the cruise control the lights on the buttons and horn? I have a 2016 Ram3500 and this just started but if I turn the wheel it make contact. Thanks

This switch has nothing to do with those other features. Its possible the clockspring could be bad or the right side switch itself. To be sure.....the system needs to be scanned with a higher end scanner thats capable of checking all modules in the truck. I am sure that there may be a code present. Then we would have a direction to go in.

My 2016 Ram1500 does the same. A light karate chop to the left off the buttons usually gets the cruise on/off button to respond for a while. I am guessing a bad ground but I don't want to take it apart when I don't know what I am doing and have no plan.

Hi, great video very nice to share your mechanic knowledge. May be you can help me. My 2011 ram 1500 slt have esp light on in low right. This is the only light on. I can unactivate or activate and light come on left of the dash. But on right the light stay on everytime. I have no fault code. I don't know how to find the cause.. in advance thank you.

Its possible, I recommend taking the switch off and inspect everything to see if you can find anything related to that cancel arm to see if something else might be bad also.

My friend left his drivers window down at dennys and the sprinkler hosed the dash down. Killing his stereo and his high/low sw. Any thoughts on if the switch can be repaired? Ie contact cleaner or something? (2010 ram truck)

Great video. I just changed the oil and filter in my 2012 3500. Getting the oil filter out was the toughest party of the job. Also, how will we know when the multi function switch needs to be replaced, is it an easy trouble shoot? Thanks for your videos

Thanks for watching. There can be codes related to the switch that you diag and then if so, replace the switch. There is no actual switch resistance test you can perform like in years past. The internal wiring is different. Eventually during the diag procedure it becomes a replace and recheck.

I replaced it and it still dont work. Blinkers dont turn on and wipers are on low like every minute, 3 or 4 wipes, any ideas fuses looked good

What about the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel that controls resetting mpg and tire pressure readings etc? They do not respond at all.

What was the malfunction that caused the switch to be replaced? My 1500 has been having whacky issues with the turn signals and was wondering if this was a similar issue.

pgr0104 It was that when you turned the left turn signal on....the right side would flash and vise versa. That's usually the most common issue. Thanks for the question. Make sure to subscribe!

MotorCity Mechanic thanks for the quick reply! I have a 2015 Ram and I am having a major issue with my projector headlights.. the dash is saying the driver side turn signal is out. During the day it operates as normal but when I hit the left turn signal the mirror blinker is hyperflashing. The major problem is at night it is completely lit up as if the blinker is on but it doesn't flash and when I hit the turn signal nothing happens it just stays lit up... the passenger side is working fine and at night dims as it is supposed to. When I drive at night the entire left side of the road is lit up orange! Any idea of what this may be or have you ever seen this? (I ordered a multifunction switch already will try replacing it when it comes in.)

At this point all the modules need to be scanned to see if there is a comm issue or something else causing issues with the wipers. Otherwise it would be a guess and throwing parts at it hoping to fix it. You need access to a scanner that can check for codes in all the modules....not your basic code reader

What if wipers still stop in some settings? Wipers work fine on the timed settings. But when on fast they hang up. Much improved but still not operating perfectly. Any suggestions?
