As a retired airline captain, I enjoy watching Rich fly the various airplanes. He is very knowledgeable about the airplanes he is flying and you can learn a lot about them from listening to his commentary. This is a good go to channel to learn about an airplane you are interested in.

Rich & team, the additional camera angle adds a new dimension to your videos - keep 'em coming. I recall someone made a comment a few videos back that your channel is in his top five of the ones to watch on RU-vid ... I think you guys are #1 because of the inflight detail you provide. The airframe information is important but I enjoy the instrumentation inputs. Again, I'm not an aviator just trying to grasp how to get from point A to B. Thanks!

Everyone has already commented on the awesome camera angle from the tail. My question is: what are you using to attach the camera to the surface!? I want to get some footage when we fly out cirrus from these angles but losing the camera (and who it may hit) concerns me.one of my favorite channels, i always tell me wife “I need to go work for Rich.”

Always fun to watch, thanks Rich. The videographer would get a MUCH better result if he simply used an iPhone to record you when flying then quick pan to close shots of the glass panel. Looks like he is using an A7S on a Ronin. That is a good combo but not for fast movement. It is clunky and not easy to maneuver in that tight space. It is frustrating when the camera quick pans to the panel and then we watch the Ronin and A7S focus catch up instead of understanding your description of the airplane. Using the A7S with Ronin outside and for wide inside shots is terrific. Footage from an iPhone 13 or 14 or late model Android is top notch. You will not be able to tell what camera it came from and it will help tell the story a little easier. Just a suggestion.

No sim training required for the type rating, but insurance companies often mandate it for first type rating. We do a lot of type ratings in the aircraft and then do simulator recurrent.
