The songs selected for the routine was already chart busters in India, but thanks to Meryl DAVIS and Charlie WHITE (team), they took the song to different orbit / level / vision. I am sure Bollywood will now try to go one up on this.
i am somewhat familiar with Bollywood...and i do know Aishwarya Rai. I just didnt know if it was one song or what. Thank you so very very much for explaining.
It's not an indian folk song Looneybun1, it's just bollywood style of music and dancing which is a mix of a lot of indian styles. Answer to your query is 'discussed below' by another user Anshul Sharma! Thanks
This is great! does anyone have more info on the song? is it called "indian folk dance"? Who sings it, etc. i mean, i know there was a womans voice etc., of course i cant make out if they are words or whatever, b/c i do not speak their language. could someone fill me in?
all teams repeat the same routines throughout the year. it takes the entire year to cheoreograph, learn & perfect their performances which they perform at national & international competitions. they can't change them for one venue. it would be impossible and they'd lose.
It's because it's their routine. If you do a winning performance at Nationals, you do the same winning performance at Olympics. You don't change it because it could ruin the routine, and it could make you lose your chance at a medal. They have to do the same routine. And if they ARE to change it, they would have changed it years before the Olympics. They can't do last minute changes. As for clothes, they are custom made. Why change it?
