Can you use the blower motor fuse 40Amp by switching w/ the rear defroster 40 Amp like you do the blower motor relay?

Ran all same troubleshooting steps. Plus swapped the blower motor for a known good one. Same result. Any other steps I should take before taking it in to the dealership?

Does tapping on the resistor indicate a bad resistor a?
