I just changed the rear diff. fluid in my 07 CRV that I just purchased. I noticed a rumbling sound when making tight turns and RU-vid said to change this fluid. To my absolute amazement, that sound is gone! Thanks, YT..
You should always flush the diff first ... NOT just empty and refill . Before first drain drive the car for 15 mins to warm plates in diff , engaging the diff by turning car on almost full lock as much as possible .. Repeat after first fill but this time drive in circles on Full lock 15 times in both directions . Next leave car stationary for 1 hour for the contamination to drain off clutch plates in diff . Then , without moving car, drain and re-fill for second time . Official Honda method .
Just a little tip. I believe using the emergency break while the rear of the car is off the ground is not going to stop the car from rolling . The emergency break is only connected to the rear wheels not the front
sorry to be off topic but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Seth Noah thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Must the crush washer be replaced or has anyone done this without replacing the washer? My F’ing dealer always shorts me one when I buy the tranny and dual pump fluid together and 3 times now I keep forgetting to have them give me 2... ugh
This is one of those times you really want to use the original fluids. Honda transmission and differential fluids can be problematic if not original. If there is an aftermarket product that works the same for something I generally use it - this is not one of those cases.
@@racenuke Congratulations.do you use transmission oil additive for the transmission.my car sounds "smack" when I take P to R at first start in the morning, but what could be the reason why it does not come in the next replacement.. should i use additives
I have a 2007 honda crv ex awd Ive been hearing some clunking noise when i turn and reverse turn . I changed all the mounts including the rear differential mount stiil having the issue i changed the differential fluid still hearing the issue . I see that alot of people are having the same problems and they go to the honda dealer and just replace the fluid again and still doing the noise . Anyone knows what can i be the problem?
