Love the character, but Hasbro didn't made a good job for the toy. It's basically a naked robot with a flight on the back. They were looking to combine it with Optimus and certainly limited in that way to make something more accurate, but it results a figure wit a very bad transformation. I would like to see a new version of this toy with more attention to the under carriage, it's possible for previous Jetfire version o for Strascream, sure it's possible for Jetfire...
That was Michael Bay's mandate to his concept artists and animators: make HIS (key word) Decepticons look FUGLY af, to drive home their "evilness" as opposed to actual developing their evilness through characterization. I actually like some of the bayverse designs, but my point stands. Travis Knight's designs IMHO were the perfect marriage between "realism" and a fitting, source-respecting look.
