@6UNLEASHED I own a 2005 SLK350 which I bought used last year. So far haven't had any problems with the car. Other owners from the slk forum report the hardtop is solid on the R171. The 2005 model has depreciated enough to be a great buy.
They are rare with the manual. The 3.0 only had fuel port injection which requires less maintenance than the direct injected 3.5 will. This is the sweet spot of the r171 for trouble free motoring. I will get one next year. More passenger legroom than most used roadsters. Used car bargain.
I have some questions about this car that I intent to buy. SH of course. 1). Engine reliability? Over 200k? I mean 1.8 and 160 hp 2). Roof leaking? Over 10 years old affect the roof impermeability? Or doors? 3). Garage? A must have? Or you can keep it outside also? When you buy such a car, What you must look about?
Best looking car ever made but go for the 55amg it's the only way, I've changed my car every year Porsches Bms all sorts. Bought a 55 eight years ago and never looked at anything else.
I was handed down my moms 2010 SLK 300 for my teenaged daughter . Pros / Cons for this car for a young woman? Thinking about trade in on an F150 here in Texas seems like a better idea
I disagree. the interior looks great. maybe need some genuine wood added to the trim and a navigator. it's not as sporty as Honda s2000 or BMW offerings but looks and feel more luxurious that any of the competition, almost like a sporty lexus.
Was anyone else surprised to learn that Mercedes still makes this car? It has absolutely no appeal, looks boring and simply can't compete with Audi's TT or BMW's Z4.
