This was my favorite nugget teams bad boys 2.0! Sorry but this year Kobe was on a mission. The western conference was the real finals for me! Phil knows how to assemble and balanced team! Phil the goat coach.
@@TheIvoryKeys the Celtics were not a super team they won one nba title. They underachieved big time. They couldn't get past the magic in 09 & the lakers in 10. and they got swept by the heat in 2011 and lost to the heat again 2012. Allen, pierce, Garnett should have more then one ring.
Sumo Leonard Sure they underachieved (09 was injury) but 2008 was the first recent super team I can think of... when 3+ superstars decided to join a franchise. They werent a dynasty though they should have been, but I think they were a "super team".
DAMN the difference between now and 10 years ago is almost as apparent as then to 10 years before that. Way less physical these days than 09, especially in the playoffs. Up until 5 years ago or so, certain plays that were fouls in the regular season wouldn’t be called in the playoffs, and seemed to be greater with each round. Nowadays every time someone falls there’s a foul. No matter what. Bodies could clash and no call. Not today. Damn
You dont really believe that do you? Alot of fouls got uncalled in the finals the last 3 years espically in the 4th. 09 was not a much physical era, lmfao thats sad
I come back and watch these playoffs all the time because of the mental nd physical play! And Kobe..come on..Carmelo..maan! Barely watch anymore! Today's game for soft prima donnas!
Damn this Denver squad was good. If their big men could've found a way to out-play LA's twin towers I think they'd have won this series. Even with Kobe getting his way. That and the bench play.
Back then they were telling us that Jones was a very good defender, Billups is a big guard who knows how to defend, Martn and Anderson can double team fast. nothing worked.
Nuggets were really really good after moving away from Allen Iverson they unlock them true selves low-key had a chance to win the title. Great defensive awareness ball movement great and an incredible star. If it wasn’t for Kobe we will be talking more mello very differently
THIS is the perfect example of how gritty and tough the Kobe led Lakers were, during that back to back run…..Denver outplayed the Lakers all game…but in crunch time, Kobe and the entire team made clutch plays….I miss this era and this Lakers squad….RIP KOBE
In this game, Kobe's slow paced down the wire half court style didn't work against the energetic fairly young and talented Nuggets team and got blown-out. The bench with their ball movement got the Lakers back in the game. Denver not letting LA get away with it and Melo's hustle and hot shooting kept them on top until the 4th quarter, where nerves kick in, experience comes into play. Kobe's slow pace game starts to work and Denver's happy-go-lucky style kept turning the ball over. Lakers sealed the deal.
Nuggets being a much smaller team with a two 6'10 bigs had to play a faster pace game inorder to win. Lakers had a 7'1 pf and a 7'2 center with a 6'11 sf/pf. As the game got closed the bigger team (lakers ) won.
Your editing is fantastic!!!! Also, I believe that if the Rockets would have beat the Lakes this year in game 7, the Nuggets would have beaten the Rockets and went to the finals.
That 2009 Denver squad was a championship level team with the addition of Chauncy Billups to go with prime Melo. Kobe and the Lakers won this series and subsequently the title afterwards, but this WCF was a DOG FIGHT. Even tho the Lakers went 7 with Houston the previous round, I believe THIS was there toughest series.
By This moment JR were already flopped before Bron Bron’s Game 1 in 2018 Finals between Cavs and GSW Lol.😁😁 . Good job Kobe, Deserved for a FMVP for 2009
@9:46 Did Fisher just killed his teammate there by cutting him mid jump? Who is that? The thud his fall made was loud. I swear i thought he died. Thats an awkward fall. Even the fans sideline reaction was on point
Man the NBA has become super SAWFT in the last decade....forget about comparison of the players today with the 80's and the 90's era...the games were so chippy and scrappy then. Let's just give GOAT award the decade wise...LOL..ESPN won't have anything to discuss then.
