I’m 3 years late to this but I’m glad it’s not just me who feels this way too! I also like seeing the highlights from other teams when they do a NFL Today update with JB in New York.
@@ericsmith6823 This is before I believe, he came on board before the miami game the following week...remember being so hype for having an actual number 1, X receiver
Saints need to get back to distributing the ball to 10 different players like this 09 team, also get back to scoring special team touchdowns & also a top 5 scoring defense like this Defense. I remember this game, this the game Dan mentioned the Saints should throw the ball more to meachem more(it's called keeping a defense guessing) You had to worry about 5 wrs,4 running backs,3 te's,2 fbs,& a dominant offensive line.
Darren Sharper's pick six at 28:10 was the Saints record for longest interception return for touchdown at the time. Patrick Robinson tied the record the next year against the Eagles with Sharper sidelined watching.
One thing I'll remember about the Saints Super Bowl 🥣 run was in the playoffs they beat three quarterbacks are either in the NFL Hall of Fame or going to be in it.
this would've been the super bowl that year had the jets prevailed over the colts. I was curious about this match knowing the nfc south played the afc east that year
36:08. How did Bush not snap a shin stopping on a dime that fast? It's not a wonder why RBs injure so easily. Just that sudden stop created so much sudden weight transfer probably through every tendon and joint.
Was wondering if you had Dolphins vs Bills 2015, Bengals vs Steelers 2015, Steelers vs Jets 2014, or Steelers vs Ravens 2015. Thank you again for all your uploading!!!
I remember this season well. The 09 Saints were 3-0 and just steamrolled NY State, beating Bills, Jets, and blowing out my Giants. We suck I thought, this aint 2008 12-4. I began to admire Saints in 2005, but then these 2009 Saints beat the snot out of the Patriots to go 11-0; and were poised to go undefeated. I joined the bandwagon, most of us did, we felt for post Katrina New Orleans which is a lovable city. Then Saints lost THREE December upsets including 3-13 Bucs were written off by most. I began to realize, ALL SB Champs lose 1 upset in December, everyone except 2003 Patriots. It's now an iron law in my mind, if u dont lose in Dec you don't win it all. Most Top Seed upsets esp D round were undefeated in Dec, got complacent. SB winners get shocked in Dec and improve. 2023 Chiefs lost to lowly Raiders on Christmas! Everyone wrote em off except me, knowing the Dec loss legacy.
I can't say I totally invented the Iron Law of SB Champs having to lose in Dec. I heard Terrel Davis calming 2015 Broncos fans after a loss saying 1998 Broncos same thing. Its a good thing he said. I add: there's no such thing as unbeatable, everyone can be beat with the right gameplan, and its better for a hidden weakness in your zone coverage or blocking scheme to get exposed and tighten up the weakpoints in your schemes going into January. The Jets exposed the 2010 Patriots in Jan, after being WALLOPED by them in December by 40 points.
