Eli Manning returns to his hometown of New Orleans for the first time in his career, for a huge midseason battle of the undefeateds, as the 5-0 Giants take on the 4-0 Saints.
eli couldn't deal with expectations it seemed like ,but a hell of a underdog quarterback never bet against him but never bet for him lmao if that makes sense
*A Giant Superdome Showdown* 2:27 _What do you have to avoid Eli?_ Just don’t turn the ball over 3:11 Are You Ready? *First Quarter* 3:44 To The Kickoff 4:33 Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Marquis Colston, Jeremy Shocky 5:18 Giants Defense 6:11 Run 7:27 Shocky 14:56 TD Saints 19:45 Well defended 24:24 Big Pass Drew *Second Quarter* 28:05 Open 28:35 Hickson
I miss these uniform combos from both teams, Saints are crazy to give up on their gold pants the past few seasons and I always liked the gray pants better with the blue tops for the Giants than the white pants.
2008 'Collapse' is really one game, the Playoff game. In week 16 without Plax the Giants beat the Panthers in a game that decided who would be the 1 seed and who would be the 2 seed.
Damn, this game is 10 years old but it feels like it's a current game. I think a big part of that is the graphics have held up so well. Fox had some great graphics from 2006 to 2010. The MLB graphics in 2008 were great too.
@@edwardfights4900 Yeah it was bad enough to watch that trash at home. At the very least the finale movie of Ed Edd n Eddy premiered that same evening.
PipeGuy64Bit giants were fucking frauds that year played a weak schedule. Yet delusional fans thought they were elite. Wouldn’t be the last time who dat nation smacked you around. 2 years later on Monday night football brees took out the trash again.
You can see how this Saints team went all the way that year. Weapons for Brees like Colston, Shockey and Bush with a solid defense that was so fast and aggressive they got penalized after for head hunting.
(MARCUS COLSTON) ~> The "MOST~UNDERATED" player to "EVER" play for the SAINT'S, if not, the "ENTIRE~LEAGUE"... Though, at least, that's my OPINION... That man was a flat out "BEAST"!!! ( That's coming from, of all people, a 100% "DIE-HARD" ~> ( VIKING'S ) fan, LOL... But I'm a REALEST & know NO other way, but that man was "DISRESPECTFULY - UNDERATED" in my opinion. To this very day, anytime I hear his name, I just look down & just SHAKE MY HEAD in disbelief... That's a good dude & I wish him best in life, but I can assure you one thing, he didn't go UNNOTICED, that's for DAMN•SURE!!! I just couldn't help myself & had to speak up on it, lol... Well GOOD-LUCK to y'all in the 2020 & we'll see y'all soon again!!!
1:22:37 against the league's best defense so far in the season. The Giants were missing some guys due to injury, but still, the Saints offense was unstoppable!
2009 Saints I'll never forget did a stomping of NY State; maybe even back to back; of Jets Giants Bills. They blew out the Patriots and it was all whooaaaahhh this team is no joke. They went 12-0 and I wrote something on Facebook making a case for 16-0, They didn't have any big dogs left. Then they lost 3 in a row in December. This was when I came up with the theory "All Superbowl Winners lose in December." That has held almost perfectly. Those 12-16 win teams that enter Playoffs on long win streaks ALWAYS lose; often in first game. "Victory Disease" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victory_disease
I forget who it was but when they were stretching before the game, one of the giants said "these are the same old saints I've seen growing up. Same old saints ain't nothing different" I know this is 10 years late but 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Four straight games, the Saints have rolled 45+ on the Giants down in the Superdome. 45-7, 2003 48-27, this game 49-24, 2011 52-49, 2015 Not one defensive TD for the Saints in any of those four games, save for one blocked punt in '03 and the kicker: Brees vs. the Giants in the Dome has thrown for 15 TDs vs. 2 INTs The last time the Giants won on Bourbon Street, Dan Reeves was the coach. Hopefully, the Giants won't have to sit there and play the Saints in N.O. anytime soon.
This game is a perfect example of 2 teams having potential of having a great season go at it. The winner gains momentum and lives up to the potential of having a great season while loser goes downhill
In this Championship year, many don't realize that the Saints defeated Eli Manning, Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning. Not bad for one year.
Giants started 2009 5-0 and finished 8-8 even 3rd in the division like thats crazy 😦 I mean it doesn't beat 2008 11-1 and finished 12-4 and one and done in the playoffs
