hows it sizing up over winters? condensation etc? how are you combating? Any insulation or what form of heating etc? thanking you i have a keter darwin small one that gets a bit of condensation. no appliances in there tho, thinking to put a bit of bubble wrap type insulation on the inside roof panels. cheers nice solar setup btw
Hi, It's holding up pretty well so far. No obvious problems and it still looks great.. I have noticed condensation in the winter but the Electronics, Bikes, General Tools and Gardening Equipment are fine in there and haven't developed any rust or problems. Some very delicate fine tools have developed a little rust over the years but nothing more than you would see in any shed. I don't use it for extended periods in the winter just for storage so it's completely stock apart from the solar. No insulation or heating is installed. The solar works great in summer, but I hook it up to a much smaller battery in the winter months just to keep the security cameras operational. There's no where near enough energy from the panels to keep the big battery topped up in winter.
@@richardhanson2331 Hi thx for the reply, yeah i get light condensation on the roof. i`ll monitor the situation. cheers again, lovely shed.. victron stuff. no nonsense!! quality!
@@kool-k-kel There must be a fairly easy way to manage the condensation but it's never bothered me enough to do anything about it. The Victron stuff is nice but way over the top for my use case :) I just like nerdily monitoring the solar yield and battery charge. I made a video about a cheap easy way to remote monitor the solar system but never uploaded it. Will have to get around to uploading it.
For your H501s Drone. I am interesting in having a backpack to carrying the drone around say on a hike and hiking to a spot to fly. What backpack did you have?
@@richardhanson2331 that's what I'd think too, just the description for these sheds, keter describe the walls as being ok to screw into for shelving etc, but didn't sound like something I'd trust, so though id as the question. Looking to hopefully get one just before summer, hopefully big enough for what I need.
@@anandpatel4079 It gets a little damp in winter but fine in the other seasons. I've not really had anything go rusty or mouldy in the 2 years I've had the shed. This is in the UK climate. It may be different in other climates.
