Do you by any chance have the link to the three cables you referred to. I’ve recently purchased a a Range Rover sport 2011 and cannot play music from my phone
Great video, I only wish you had shown that by pressing the arrow next to the track playing would have given you a full screen display of the song playing.
Hi thank you for this post, just a question : when the phone is connected to the invery device for the music, is the phone also connected to the blue tooth car system to receive a phone call ? I m not sure that the iPhone can connect to 2 separate blue tooth devices in the same time. Thanks for your help
The connectors get so hot on mine.. especially the voltage converter. Not enough room in the armrest either. Have to put it on passenger seat. My lead was was £12. My voltage converter was £13. My genuine iPod to lightning adapter was £39.99 so about £65 in all. Thank you very much for this. I had a bad start to my ownership. Ours in 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE. It’s not been trouble free!!! Might have to let her go.. it’s a shame Land Rover come firmly last in all the reliability surveys. And Lexus, Honda and Toyota mostly occupy the top spots.
Ive done without converter i wasnt aware. Works Fine but defaults to apple music then i can toggle to spotify…. when I disconnected my Apple Music service it would no longer work with any other audio streaming it would play a little bit then it would pause I don’t know if that has anything to do with the converter but unfortunately I had to restore my Apple Music subscription if I wanted to listen to music in that vehicle
Hi I've just got a invery I've plugged it straight into iPod and using usb power next to it to power it up ,all works then it keeps dropping the Bluetooth or signal my phone's a Google phone any ideas steering controls work for music and changing tracks then goes off and back on can anybody help with this
Cool Video but I have a Problem on my RRS HSE 2011. I bought the cable, the black converter and the 30-pin to lightning adapter as like you, but no matter how I connect the cables it doesn’t work. Every times it says that device error and I don’t know how to handle that. If I play a song on Spotify they only play 1 second and then stop
Hi, it sounds like an issue with the device you are connecting to the car. Have you tried a different iPhone to see if that works? I have heard of this problem before and it turned out to be a faulty iPhone. Thanks
@@RangeRoverOwner Hi, I already tried 3 other iPhones and all of them don't work... Its really frustrating... Are there any settings I have to change ?
Hi, Do you actually need the the first lead (curly)? Can you not just plug the 12volt to 5 volt converter straight in to the car? Please excuse my ignorance as I've never used these kind of connectors before. Also, do by chance have links to where these can be bought or model numbers so that I can search in confidence of getting the correct parts? Thank you.
This is so awesome! I’ve had my L322 for almost a year, thinking I was a retard because I could not get my music to play. Dealership, stereo shops and used car salesmen all said it would not work. HA! However the price for me to get this stuff is about $127 CAD,… But worth it!
Hey, its not working!! I've bought all the correct products as listed, but the infotainment screen comes up with device error. I've tried other phones with the same result... any help will be gratefully accepted. Simon
Hi Simon. You need to make sure that you have at least 1 song in the Apple Music app on the phone. You need this file on the phone in order for the car to detect the iPhone correctly even if you are using Spotify or another streaming music app. Once you have at least 1 song on the phone everything will work normally.
Sadly still not happy... wont recognise the device. I've downloaded itunes and a song ( Lump by Presidents of the USA... great track !) Any other ideas or I'll revert to the BOVEE bluetooth option. Cheers Simon
@@RangeRoverOwner bingo when I discontinued my Apple Music subscription I was no longer able to listen to music in the rover it would try to play other music then instantly pause how do you still have access to listening to music if you cancel your Apple Music subscription?
@@paystyles5429 you need at least 1 song in your iTunes library on your phone to be able to play music in the car. Either buy a song from the iTunes Store or add one from your PC and it will work again from other apps like Spotify etc.
Hi - Nice Video - The previous owner did not pass on the original ipod interface cable when he sold the car so is it possible to buy a new one from aftermarket suppliers or we should have the priginal cable - Original costs approx £120/- here in UAE ( Dubai ) and then again one needs to buy the Bovee or any other adapter like Cablejive ( as u suggested ) and then the apple interface to lightning cable. Would appreciate if u can shed some light on these cable purchases individually - Many thanks in advance 😊🙏
Hey Trevor I’m in Bahrain about to try the same thing. Did you end up buying an original RR cable ? Any help on what you bought/shipped would be great.
@@Subz2099 The easiest way around this is to buy an “Aux to Lightning Connector Cable” ( that’s if u r using an iphone ) or “Aux to USB-C cable” if u r using any Android Phone. Connect the Aux end to the Aux IN which is located near the rear AC switch controls and the other to your iphone or Android phone. Now select AUX from your screen and you can straight away start to use your phone music. Hope this helps
@@trevorjohn9834 genius. Solved and as you said top quality audio! I’m using a portable MagSafe charger from Anker, so I can charge and play too. Magic. Thank you sir!
Good afternoon, I have a 2011 discovery, my iPhone can make call’s through my disco, but I can’t play music from my phone, my iPhone is 11, and my phone is connected to the discover, could you please help me with this please ? Thanks
@@mark_just_mark Hello Mark, same it charges but no audio. I ordered an apple certified cable on Amazon. Which one did you get please? thank you so much!
