At 10:30 Brantley actually showed some athleticism and running ability with that scramble. I could never figure that guy out, but he was just really soft. You got to have a killer instinct and he didn't have it. He should have been running an animal shelter or old folks home. Fans nicknamed him Prince Valium
He wasn't a runner; he should have been strictly throwing out of the pocket, but Urban had him running options and that crap. Total mis-use of that guy's talent. Under Spurrier, Brantley could have set some records.
Exposed? Urban went 187-32 in his college coaching career with 3 NCs across 2 teams. I'll take Urban any day over Mullen, Kiffen, Durrrrk Dooley or whatever bargain bin find was coaching TN at this point
I still can’t believe Dan Mullen and Urban Meyer chose Brantley over Cam Newton. I know everyone says Cam left because Tebow came back in 2009 but people also forget in 2008 John Brantley was the 2nd string QB to Tebow and they demoted Cam to 3rd string before the season…
hillman well, that’s why I cut out all the extra time in between plays. But I had to also eliminate lots of plays/drives as well to keep it within 15 minutes.
