2010 Berklee High School Jazz Fesival -- Crescent Super Band with Abe, Eric, and Peter 

I was sitting half way back on stage right. I was in awe being a young bass player.

degbe kennedy OMG! I did get to meet him and shake his hand, and it did change my life! Biggest compliment of my life was playing in Uganda and they said I played like Abraham. (They were being WAAAAY too kind.) Really enjoyed this video.

I would ask you to find two or three High School Jazz Festivals, go to them, sit all day, and see if you can even find even two per festival that play as well as this kid did. There are several great young guitarists, but not many of them are in HS Jazz Bands, and often even when they are they don't get to play much like this, because educators don't see the guitar as a primary jazz instrument and the kids playing them don't have much jazz background. That young man did his best, and is only probably 17 years old in this video; let's cut him some slack for a couple more years ....

Yes, sure pal, I would like to see you do something better than this, it seems, al least to me ,the imbalance is in your listening. Abe is a legend a musician with the talent that keeps him despite being almost 70 years old. I invite you to overcome this man, who with his charisma draws everyone a smile.

Now that's the gospel truth

It’s true. Abe is a beautiful player, but he’s out of the pocket for the majority of the tune.

Thought it was just me, He is an all time great but seems to be loosing his pocket, playing out of time, the entire band play felt forced, instrumentalist were not in sync
