Some people complain about the length of the video but i found it helpful, as it helped validate my thoughts on the issue as it happened tonight. All of the process of elimination, logic, and critical thinking was the same as my guesses and helped me ensure i was on the correct path before i started ordering things and making arrangements. Preciate it bro. 👌🏿
Just some helpful advice. Most of us watching are seeking a solution or have shifted through many videos hoping to garner your experience with the issue at hand. I would suggest that you treat this video as the first run and then significantly edit it to just get the highlights that you think will help. Or index some others can get to the "meat" of the video.
the engine light on mine just flickers. doesn't crank. it was an intermittent issue now won't start at all. hopefully it will be easier to find. hopefully, 3rd mechanic is a charm!
ok so my ecu has been replaced and still didin't fix the issue. Im leaning towards that but what harness? the dealership at 1st said they had problem getting power to the ecm and after burning it out the replaced it. got it going, still would not start after a short trip. took it to another one and they thought they had it. I took it to the store 5 minutes away, left it running while i went inside to make sure it stayed started because it had only died out once on the road and I was hoping someone would steal it, lol. when i got back out, it was dead. next morning, it started. I took it to my work and restarted it several times that morning but only left it running for a few minutes. anyways, it won't start at all now. engine light just flickers. I did at one point swap the Ign 1 or pcm fuse and surprisingly it started. I thought that was the issue but it wouldn't start the next day after a 20 min trip to the tire store and hasn't started since. would it be the harness to the ecm from the fuse box? ignition switch was replaced as well. this was my call just to rule it out.
I’m having the same issue but I thought it was cause my 16 yr old son broke my push button to lock/unlock my doors so when starting my car I have to keep turning the ignition till it start to run now my truck don’t want to start at all still making the clicking noise those but now my battery has been draining completely dead now so the battery place it may be my alternator 🤦🏾♀️
Inbox me!!.. having same issue took alternator off alternator is good!!.. tell who ever removing your alternator to go from the passenger side remove the wheel!!..
Check positive cables nut.. its loose.. will stop the startup not allowing starter to engage. 13 mil.wrench biggest nut on starter solenoids. Clean it .. still no starter. Tap.on starter hsrd enough to reset armigur brushes
are you having the same issue? my engine light on the dash just flickers when i turn the key. it was the same thing. intermittent issue that got worse and now won't start
