You also need to check the courtesy switch that turns the dome light on when you open the door, some domestic makes and models are hooked with the door, even when you turn off the engine and take out the key from the ignition the radio stays on till you open the door. So, if you have a problem with this feature you should check it out, especially because you're doing all the work while the driver door was open.

Checking one right now that has this amount of draw. I have isolated it down to the Radio fuse (for 1/3 of the draw) with the Rest being the IOD (Ignition Off Draw - a 60 Amp fuse that is designed to limit it's parked time draw, such as when the vehicle is at a Dealer lot. The radio fuse gets power from this circuit). The schematics I have access to (two sources) literally make no sense on this circuit's function. No doubt the radio is faulty in this one, as a CD will occasionally get stuck in the player. Best guess is the rest of the draw is internal to the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module - the main fuse box that appears to double as the Body Control Module. Given their reputation, they should have called them the Total FU Module). Any ideas on the actual fault?

impossible to say without actually testing it.

The radio should be replaced with a head unit with an "automatic shut off" feature. I remember I installed a Sony head unit but I never programmed the feature, since I did not have any problems with the wiring. The head unit will shut off once I take off the key.
