Is the fuse you mentioned just for the drl. One of mine has blown and i cant for the life of me get my hands in to replace. I have an aftermarket stereo fitted so can't turn them off that way either. Absolute ridiculous design. I remember on my old mondeo i had to remove the front grill and then the light just to change a headlight bulb absolute madness.
Ah, awkward. Don't know to be honest. If it's impossible to change the blown one then is it it easier to take out the good one? At least they will both be the same. Failing that, Halfords do a bulb change service if that helps.
Well guys in France the citroen/peugeot car repair garages always assign bulb changes to the apprentices as usually they have small hands / wrists ideal for confined experts at bulb changes ... hey ho not in France in today sunny North west UK so what worked for me and I recommend . for the left hand unit .. put cloths rags in void spaces to catch tools you may drop. 1. Torx Allen key 45 ...buy a set from Tool ,,,st.....n .. with many sizes for less than a couple of drinks. Allen key about 140 mm long. 2.Stout long nosed pliers .. not too big around 150 mm length but good. so .. remove air intake support where tube to air box fits ... to gain easy access .. take pipe off this press the two supports remove 10 mm bolt .. easy. your wrist arm will thank you for it . 3. Get your new bulb see how torx fits in end of the bulb note flanges at bottom for finger guidance . 4. Note the position of the bulb at the rear of the indicator bulb to the back of the unit. ...what a pain ,, yes . 5. hand in space .. left hand hold torx between 1st and index finger like Ch Chopstick .. feel flanges locate hole guide torx in hold ... twist ..clockwise quarter of turn only .. now pull out bulb with pliers . 6. Insert new bulb use the torx allen key to guid it up there ,, l bulb should be upwards should slide in there. 7.turn torx allen key anticlockwise fully to enable electrical contact ... be boom donei it. 8.remove cloths from engine voids . replace air intake tube support and 10 mm bolt.. check your work and feel dead chuffed you have saved yourself some pound notes there .. Ring HP928 is the unit bulb you want .. pricey .. Alb in Tellins.
Hi Derek, I wonder if you could help me please, I have newly purchased a 3008, one of the DRLs has been broken as the previous owner has tried to remove it and I am struggling to remove it, any advise please, kindest regards Lisa
Theoretically, it is just a bayonet fitting, untwist and remove. Push up twist and return, if you can get your hand in. I used a star tool, and lost it If I can remember, but with a strong grip and small hands, you should be able to just twist and withdraw. I did not find it easy and it was difficult to get to, but taking the headlamp out was a bigger pain! Halfords do a bulb change service if there is one handy and you get fed up with scratching your hands!
@@lisaernestmoore3488 Ouch! that makes things tricky. I would say headlight removal seems to be the only option now, or, if the system allows it, turn them off. Depending on the year of manufacture, I don't think they are legaly required. Presumably, the other side is working? The car I borrowed had the on/off option on the menu screen.
Sounds like a bargain, however, we bought an ignition switch for the Vivaro from Amazon. It fell apart before I managed to fit it . . . and the wires where too short!
