This video was very helpfull, thanks.😂 After watching this I was encouraged to start removing the automatic transmission from my 2010 Grand Scenic 1.5 dci in the same manner. It was not an easy job and getting it back up was very tricky operation indeed. After countless hours spend under the car, much pain and continuous cursing I finally succeeded. Reason I started the job was a broken flywheel which is now replaced.

Absolutely perfect video 10 out of 10!!! I know virtually nothing about repairing cars yet I just replaced my daughters clutch by following this video.... it worked first time..... Don't know how this guy lifted the gearbox back in like that, great skills.

Done my second one of these scenic clutches today watched this video before doing thr first one they a really nice clutch to do I think got the job down to just over 3 and a half hours
You know Kevin, beside showing how to do it, you kind of give a lot of people confidence and inspiration that they themselves can actually do it, change the clutch on their own car. It's kind of nice
I got one to to do my self, on the floor just like your self. Im a mechanic my self and do work on the side. Just reading through the comments... and doing that in 5 hours it a good time fer play 👍
did you change clutch and flywheel and release bearing...? how many houers did it take on the ground, and aprox laber..? would you make it even faster on a hoist :D very good video

If you removed the ECU please check very carefully that none of the pins are bent. Most likely cause : make sure all the earth straps are correctly fastened back onto the gearbox.

Hello. I have a question for fellow mechaniks. I am waiting for the replacement of the dual mass flywheel in Renault Scenic II 2.0 16V petrol. After unscrewing the front part of the bench under the radiator, will I be able to pull out the gearbox through the hole or do I have to remove the entire sledge from the suspension to get the access to do this?
Nicely done! Did you replace crank seal as well whilst you were in there? Need to do mine on Megane F1 2006 soon. Very similar layout to this Scenic so this will help.

I have a 2011 megane grandtour 1.5dci 110hp , i have to get the rev limiter up to 1.5k revs and then release the clutch otherwise it doesnt move, i also feel some vibrations (maybe the flywheel). The car has 161000 km's, do you think the clutch is worn? And maybe flywheel too?
@@WMCS i've already replaced the gearbox mount, do you think i would be able to pull it off, i have no mechanical education or something just a handyman.. I do most things on my car oil change , brake pads , discs, engine mounts, brake oil, gearbox oil, coolant change..
WestSideConnection5 this one particular repair will require a bit of skill. It’s a bit of an advanced level one Due to the wiring at the top. Give yourself a few days if you’re gonna do it yourself.
do you drop the drivers side sub frame as well as the passenger side to separate gearbox from engine, if so,do you need to separate steering rack from column to lower sub frame?
Hi, appreciate the work you've put in on this. It really looks tough with all that disassembly. I've got a question though; I see that the removal of numerous lower suspension components is necessary to gain access to the gearbox. When its all done and put back together, will there be a need to re-do an alignment? Thanks in advance
Hi Roy. Only drop one side of the subframe. Otherwise will still be in place so no need to do alignment after. Almost like a door on hinges opening and shutting if that makes sense.

Hello, thanks for the video. I recently bought a Renault Megane 3, unfortunately the clutch is difficult to move and my foot hurts. I asked some people what the problem could be. They said the printing plate had to be changed. Now this week I will change the Completely clutch with the help of your videos. What do you think for the hard common clutch? is it printing plate or could something be different? 197000km 1.5 diesel year 2013, thank you again
@@WMCS Thanks, after changing these three parts, the clutch pedal became lighter, but I still have a slight pain under my foot after driving, without the engine running I hear quiching when coupling under the pedal. Maybe something is right with the master cylinder and slave cylinder?
Maybe can help me find out the problem, mine in a scenic semi automatic, 1.5 dci. The gear sometime works normal , and sometime it won't move from the first gear to other, speed won't go up and even if it does, it will take forever to go from 0 to 10-15 and than the gear kicks in, someday the gear will just stall and won't work, error comes as check gearbox but after a stop and start it goes away. Sometime it won't move in reverse, it will straight go to neutral while the gear is in reverse. But if I bring it to manual and change ,drive few second and try to engage it again in automatic, it starts working. I am completely clueless to what is happening, can you help
