Yep, the Vanguard is a luxury JDM version of the RAV4 using the wide body of the North American/Australasian version. There was also a 3.5 V6 version available. The JDM RAV4 uses the narrow body available in Europe. Both vehicles are popular imports to New Zealand.

@@thegifttreatyourselfwithbe8760 The 2.4 is the 2AZ engine. While it is only a four cylinder, it's of fairly large displacement and should be reasonable on fuel given the size of the vehicle.

Yup, this gentleman was right. Someone has recognized it at a dealership in Nakuru, Kenya. The mileage has been rolled back to 43,000 kms. As I’m writing the car is still on the lot for sale to an unsuspecting buyer for a whopping $24,000 or Ksh. 2.4 million. Buyer be ware! I tell people to stay away from kenyan car dealers at all costs! Import the car for yourself, the process is very easy! Stop burning your money!! Thanks to pacific autos for highlighting the rollback issue. It is a massive problem here!

The 2010 Toyota Vanguard is a luxury S.U.V, about the spare tires it comes with a pump and with that you pump the wheel enough to run to the repair shop... behind that storage compartment where you lokked for the wheel is a smaller one...Its a 7 speed automatic

Frumence Kariuki I'm from Kenya as well, but live in canada. Last I heard of the import laws was that the car has to be NEWER than 8 years and rhd to be importable

@@dtwach6820 You can't get any car. Only as long as it's newer than 8 years. So only anything newer than 2013 can be imported this year. Next year, 2014, and so on.

@Derek I'm from Kenya. Most (90%) of the cars here in Kenya are JDM. Kenyan citizens imports more than 1,000 cars per month. There are dealers who go to Japan and buy 100+ cars and import them to Kenya to sell. They buy high milage cars 150,000km to 300,000km and they rollback the odometer to between 50,000km and 80,000km. Kenya has restrictions on imported cars. The cars can NOT be more than 8 years old from the date of manufacture. Hence, currently an 8year old car is a 2010 car... I'm looking into importing another car from you Pacific Coast Auto but the auction site doesn't have cars I'm looking for. I hope this helps.

Almost all cars in kenya are import cars from japan since apparently they don't really have restrictions on importing cars

Thats not true.. you cannot import car older than 7 yrs to Kenya.. It is not a dumping ground for old shit as you think.

Kenya! As far as I know Kenya produced Peugeot 404 pickup trucks in RHD up until the early 1990 s. I think I would really love one of those cars. To me they are the Nissan Sunny truck of Africa.

+Rotating Cupboard Yes, we have USS price history for vehicles that sold. For a single vehicle email. Though we can't do it as a regular service unless you are a customer. Otherwise everyone on the internet will ask us and we will never get any work done.

If you want, I can. It has a broken power steering pump and will cost 200,000 yen to fix. The car is only worth about 400,000 yen in the current condition so I don't know what to do with it. It will probably head back to auction soon and I will take a loss.

The lot is very "multicultural", hm? Rav 4, SLK, 356 cabriolet, Evo VI, Mini Cooper, Capuccino, Savanna RX-7... Anyway, this front look a lot like the VW Tiguan with a different front bumber. Is it AWD? Very weird hill descent in a FF car.
