I use Royal Purple in my 2004 4Runner. She’s abused weekly in the mountains and on the sand. 4in ome/icon lift and 33x12.5 tires. I also use Royal purple gear oil in both diffs and transfer case. 132k miles 💜
It's a draining part you put in to drain the oil while the old filter is still in so that spillage you saw doesnt happen. Im no mechanic but saw it being used in other videos lol.
It’s been my practice working on heavy equipment diesel engines, also tundra filter is mounted vertically which less likely to make a mess..lot of folks will argue on good/bad of pre soaking oil filter…for me is just my preference..thanks
