I was just about to attempt this for a friend's Beetle for free... thank you for convincing me otherwise 😂😂 In all seriousness, very thorough overview. It took hours to find a video on the 2.5 in a Beetle, and very pleased with the level of detail. Thank you!

Good video, one thing to note on our 2007 the tensioner bolts are 15mm, also I would recommend purchasing universal sockets for all the sizes needed

You can. It is called "service mode" You don't actually remove the complete front end. You need to remove the bumper and rebar and then detach the radsupport and " pull it forward about 5 inches" They recommend a special tool but you don't need it. Just find 2 long bolts that will screw threw the radsupport and onto the frame to hold the radsupport securely.

Yes the Chilton's manual show to remove front clip and put radiator in downward position which enables you to remove power steering pump just pulley n 3 bolt the alternator comes right out
