100% easy to follow instructions. Just finished doing this on my 2013 Elantra GLS. Worked perfectly. Also, for anyone who has their Airbag light on solid and / or their Cruise Control went out, this will fix it. After installing a new OEM part (purchased from Braman Hyundai @ Miami, FL), my Cruise buttons work again and my airbag light immediately went off. Cracias señor!
Man it worked flawless. The jacks were different than the one I got from Amazon. But I had to cut and use old ones to make them compatible. Thanks alot
Thanks! Great Video. You save me a lot of time. For anyone else looking to do this you can save a lot of money by looking up the part number under Kia. The exact same part with both a Hyundai and Kia logo on it cost about 60$ from a Kia supplier vs 200$+ from a Hyundai dealer.
@@namechane1758If a part is shared between Hyundai and Kia vehicles the number is the same. Just google the Hyundai part number and the word “Kia”. The clock spring PN is 93490.
I just bought the clock spring from my Hyundai dealer for $92. I’m a repair shop but the list price is $116 so still not terrible to have the oem part in your car
For those of you who don’t know, Hyundai has extended their warranty of the clock spring for 15 years with unlimited mileage. I have a 2011 Elantra. The airbag light came on and the horn doesn’t work. I have an appointment set up so I’ll update when it gets fixed. It should be free of charge.
@@rschmidt2471 Yeah most vehicles should qualify if the air bag light is on or the horn doesn’t work. I printed the letter out as well as the page showing my VIN number as proof just in case they want to charge me or try to get money out of me. I’m currently at the dealership right now. They said it’s about a 3 hour wait but I’ll update when I get my car back!
@@shawntholo777asmr9 oh okay, thanks for the update. My carhas both so hopefully they dont try any games. They have always been good in the past though. I hope it all works out!
Where are you located, can you fix my horn, it doesn’t work, but when I turn wheel to left or right it beeps, and my Cruze controls quit working before. Help!!!
Do you think i could do this myself. I could buy the part. I am worried about not having the right tool to secure the nut in the center of the steering wheel. What is the name of the tool you used that looks like a screw driver but is big?
You could!! You don’t need to secure the steering wheel nut , before you remove the steering wheel make some marks ( you can use a chisel or whiteout ) to remember what position the steering wheel was ( the steering wheel should be straight al time )
Gracias .
My clock spring went out so my husband told to watch a video unfortunately I picked yours we can't understand or hear you and your methods and advice were terrible my husband who is a mechanic was disgusted with you 😮😢
