2011 Daytona Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Round 9 (SX Lites East Round 3) 

This is round 9 of the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship and round 3 of the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites East Championship from the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, FL. This will likely be the last full season of Supercross you will see on my channel.
Returning contenders like Supercross rookies Jake Weimer, Brett Metcalfe, and Trey Canard, Ryan Villopoto, Josh Grant, Supercross sophomore Justin Brayton, 2-time champs James Stewart and Chad Reed, Ivan Tedesco, Andrew Short, Mike Alessi, Michael Byrne, Davi Millsaps, Kevin Windham, and defending champ (and Supercross sophomore) Ryan Dungey battle it out for the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship. After being released from Monster Kawasaki in late 2010, and all the factory slots taken for the year, Chad Reed decides to dig into his own pockets and form his own team of TwoTwo Motorsports Honda, which (after a slow beginning) christens a spark in Reed's confidence and season for almost all of 2011. This series features a 4-rider battle between Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, James Stewart, and Chad Reed. This season was supposed to mark the Supercross class debut of 2-time East Lites champ Christophe Pourcel, but after he was unable to find a ride (after demanding so much money from the factory teams), Christophe decides to skip the Supercross season and get ready for the Outdoor Nationals. This race is well known for James Stewart's VICIOUS wreck in the main event, but recovering to finish in 9th.
Returning Supercross Lites East contenders like Supercross Lites sophomores Justin Barcia, Dean Wilson and Blake Baggett, Ryan Sipes, Nico Izzi, Blake Wharton, SX Lites rookie Ian Trettel, and others battle it out for the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites East Championship. This series features a season-long battle between Justin Barcia and Dean Wilson. After a 5th place in his first pro Lites race in Houston, rookie Ian Trettel suffers a bad crash before this race, and is left comatose, which results in him having to give up riding after a promising amateur career.
