Thanks for not focusing more on our problems (in the Lightning)! Kind of embarrassing to try and hoist the sails, only to discover a bunch of stuff that needed to have been done first. That's why we were 20 minutes late. At least we weren't the last to get underway! DonKeyHoTey (Per)
@Boatflix, no problem! I'd been running on 2 hours of sleep a night all week, and still didn't have the boat ready on time (it's not like i had a whole year to prepare or anything... oh, wait a minute... I DID have a whole year. Never mind...). But I learned a lot for next year! BTW, I sail under the extremely clever Watertribe name of SailBirdMike. Great videos!
Oh, man.... we were still on the beach at the end of the video!! AAUGH!! Clarity did launch, and we had a 12 knot sail across Tampa Bay. We didn't finish, but we learned a lot and had a great time. We'll be back!
@videotosse yes, it is a race. Google watertribe everglades challenge. They are competing in several different classes, and are going a long way. The fastest ones finish in just under two days of continuous sailing, but some take as long as a week.
