The last Accents to look like this in North America were the 2005s. Then they changed it to the current style, and now for 2012 we get another new Accent! (Which IMO the sedan is the best looking subcompact sedan I have ever seen!) But here in this country, they still get this generation Accent!
You could put a floor carpet in the driver's side before you take it for ride! Damn, it's a brand new car! By the way, it 's excellent the video and the car. We still have the same model (Accent II, 1999-2002) Full GLS.
It's pretty neat to see cars in countries around the world. Here in the US, the Accent for example has been redesigned two or three times since it looked like this one. It's pretty cool!

No steering adjustment. The parts also differ. Original mats are rare. The horn sound is also different. There are also differences in the gas cap and trunk. In Russia: ABS and airbags were only offered as standard on the highest trims with manual or automatic. Only the base model with a manual wasn't offered with A/C as standard. As for the rest of the extras: central locking, power windows and rear door speakers were optional.

Also, there is felt for the engine cover, but it seems a bit rare and I guess it is not manufactured for the gasoline Accent. Some equipment such as a rear ashtray and a mirrored sunshade can be added later. I installed blue clips for the door trim. I found the original black for the safety belt button. I added the front bumper lower grille and all the missing parts I could find. This vehicle is a model from 1999-2003. There is a version with nice taillights in India, but I think they are not very good. I don't know what years it was produced. There are 2000-2003 models in Turkey. I've never seen any mention of rare parts for this vehicle. For example, this piece is not available in Russia and it is a rare piece. It fits new models but is not used. 81285-28000 for trunk hinge. The rear seat belt upper bolt surround of Russian Accents is like iron. I saw the plastic one and it looked just like a 1996-2003 H100 minivan seat belt. I used the seat belt bolt cover on the rear seat belt and a total of 14 of them, including the front seats, will be compatible with this vehicle. Why doesn't Hyundai use these parts anymore and why doesn't it produce them? I think they produce inadequate vehicles. Perfect for front seat belts at least. It would be a bit of an exaggeration for the rear seatbelts, but why not. The black seat belt bolt cover fits newer models but is unused and very rare. I've never seen a picture of it in its original packaging. That piece is one of the things I want to find the most. I did some research on Accent. Apart from that, the seat belt hole cover is also rare and a lot of plastic parts like this are rare and missing. I bought new ventilation grilles for the trunk and they were made in India. I wonder if they produce rare parts like seat belt bolt covers. The Accent's front seat belt upper gray bolt covers are worn and most likely broken. Their tops are joined and can be cut with a knife. Seems hard to disassemble. There is no compatible part in the catalog, but there is a very similar part available for the H100 pickup truck produced in 2004 and later. I'm shocked that a Russian company continued to sell the superseded LC Accent right up until 2011 AND with no airbags, ABS and simple comforts like power steering, etc. I own a 2005 model in Australia and we use it as our dog transport car and shopping jeep. The difference, though, is that the '05 Aussie version has twin airbags, power windows, auto transmission...etc...
The Russian Accent had power steering as standard, also it was available with automatic transmission. ABS and airbags were only available on the highest trim and central locking, and power windows were available as an optional extra.
Ftw... did they kept this car for ten years in a garage or do they still make this 2003-Accent style vehicles today? I got the Hyundai Excel 1.3i SE (2000), blue. The reason why I want to choose for a dark blue Hyundai Accent from 2001 is that the Excel and the Accent are very identical.
This model was assembled in Russia by TagAZ from 2001 to 2012. TagAZ also assembled the Sonata EF and the 1st gen Santa Fe well into the 2010s. This generation of the Accent was also assembled in India until 2019.
looks like my mint condition 2000 accent ..same color buti have 15in asa rims which made the car stand out better i have the gl package with power mirrors and mini factory speakers where his mirror toggles are mine also has airbags his does not his grill and side mrrrors are slightly different and i don't have that storage bin to the left of steering wheel,, that's cool they make that body style still at least in india,,,, the 90s style sucked and 2000 came out with this tyle until 2005 then changed again which i thought was horrible and the last 2 styles after that sucked but the motors got better.. my 1,5 is only 92 hp ,, it needed another 15-20 to make it better in freeway driving it struggles too hard on steep hills ..other than that i stilllove the car even after 17 years and 153.000 miles later is still in excellent shape, though i always drove it only on summer weekends for trips with the good fuel ecomony///
After a bit of research: Those Accents that were already made in 2000 for many of us were produced later in some other countries like Russia. No idea why. So if you loved your Accent from 2000 but has been rotten away you can import one from Russia, brandnew! :D
